On June 13, the US Navy’s Fifth fleet said it responded to a distress call by two tankers in the Gulf of Oman. The two ships suffered a “reported attack.”

“US naval forces in the region received two separate distress calls at 6:12am local time and a second one at 7:00am,” the fleet said in a statement. “US Navy ships are in the area and are rendering assistance.”

Reuters cited four anonymous shipping and trade sources said that the two tankers, the Marshal Islands-flagged Front Altair and the Panama-flagged Kokuka Courageous, had been evacuated and the crews were safe.

A statement by the Kokuka Courageous’ management company, BSM Ship Management (Singapore), said 21 crew of the vessel abandoned ship after an incident on board which resulted in damage to the ship’s hull starboard side. The vessel is about 70 nautical miles from the United Arab Emirate (UAE) of Fujairah and about 14 nautical miles from the coast of Iran.

“The Kokuka Courageous remains in the area and is not in any danger of sinking. The cargo of methanol is intact,” the statement said.

Iran’s Press TV reported that Iranian ships had rescued all of the oil tankers’ 44 crew members.

“An informed source said an Iranian rescue vessel had picked up the 23 crew members of one of the tankers and 21 of the other from the sea and had brought them to safety at Iran’s Jask, in the southern Hormozgan Province,” Press TV reported.

It is unclear if it actually was an attack, since various anonymous sources cited by MSM claim different scenarios, such as a surface attack, or a magnetic mine exploding.

Lebanese Al-Mayadeen cited an ‘anonymous reliable source’, according to which the Front Altair had completely sunk. Taiwan’s state oil refiner said that it was believed to have been struck by a torpedo.

On the previous day, a fire that broke out on an Iranian oil platform of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf and was subsequently contained and no fatalities were reported.

Iran’s Students News Agency ISNA said the fire had been contained. State TV said the cause of the fire was under investigation and there were no reports of disruptions to operations at the field.

“No one was reportedly killed by the fire at platform SPG9,” the head of the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Mohammad Meshkinfam told Shana.

Regardless, these incidents come one month after four tankers were damaged off the coast of the UAE in the Persian Gulf. US National Security Adviser John Bolton said that naval mines “almost certainly from Iran” were used to attack the ships back then.

It is likely that this presumed attack would also be blamed on Iran.

The recent series of incidents with oil tankers and facilities demonstrate that a kind of sabotage may have been war going on in the Persian Gulf and nearby areas. Some forces are apparently aiming to destabilize the situation in the region.

MMM awfully quite here in the face of what appears to be a serious false flag. A torpedo? The only country that has something to gain is the bad ole US of A. owot?

verner

the squatters on stolen palestinian land is the sole party pushing and braying for war against Iran. Just one thing to do – finish off the squatters once and for all. send them packing into their next diaspora and pogroms galore, they deserve no better.

Saladin

“braying for war ” ? LOL, I think you want to say “praying for war” You are nothing more than a Palestinian donkey armed with a thesaurus who wants us to think he is German ( BTW, the correct spelling is Werner)

Check your thesaurus again ya donkey, braying is the sound you make

wwinsti

^^^^MOSSAD is in da’ house!!!^^^

zman

Yep…an Israeli using an Arabic name…who else?

FlorianGeyer

” braying ” in this context is actually an English use of the word to intimate that those shouting the loudest are ‘donkeys’. Israel amd the US in this case.

“bray1 /breɪ/ Learn to pronounce verb gerund or present participle: braying (of a donkey or mule) utter a bray. “the donkey brayed and kicked” synonyms: neigh, whinny, hee-haw; rarehinny “a donkey brayed” (of a person) speak or laugh loudly and harshly. “he brayed with laughter” synonyms: roar, bellow, trumpet “Billy brayed with laughter” “

verner

you know nothing obviously but suburban tel aviv is like that I s’pose – ignorant and full of stupid people, like yourself

Quenten Bruce

Perhaps you never heard of Bolton yet owot? That piece of war in ya aint no peace my brother.

zman

..and the Israelis. All they’re going to gain is the opportunity to put their navy on the bottom.

Quenten Bruce

First I must learn where it really is that I come and where from, and given that I, myself do, the question ‘ who are you?’ remains. The Jew? and why not are you? If you so speak of war and land. The hearts of the moderate humanitarian Jew is the precious Jewell of our land. All our lands. Follow our future peace my brothers, inside y’all.

Paul

Would like to know how anyone can come to the conclusion that it was a torpedo that caused the explosion without any real investigation. Unless a crew member actually saw it, it sounds like bullshit to me. It’s so convenient that the US military has built up its forces on the region right at the same time these ‘incidents’ are occurring. You’d think that after all the evidence of American lies no one will believe the anti Iran narrative that will be parroted, but they will because they are f#*king stupid.

RichardD

There was a lot of radio traffic.

Paul

Any more info?

Jens Holm

I dont see that as convenient at all.

You are very biased ignoring why USA has that build up.

I hope for a fast and sober investigation as well.

Paul

I’m not ignoring another possible attack on a sovereign nation who will not bow down to American economic aggression. Wake up Jens.

Jens Holm

Actually Iran has done many threats about closing Hormuz. I dont take them out.

I see others too. ISIS probatly would like focus away from them.

And Iran do benefit, because China as well as India take in a lot of oil from there and them, which can make them even more mad at Trump and Co.

I dont need Bolton in this, when I can see the Ayatollahs in full scale on TV now again making uranium for bombs. Iran is not better in this at all – just smaller.

And we dont believe in the narratives of USA as much as You are learned by Your goverment controlled medieas. EU has great scepticisme about most of it and follow USA in a lower and moderate level.

The same by the way goes for Russia.

Paul

Why have Iran threatened to close the straight? Ever since Trump became President he has been highly aggressive in his statements actions toward Iran, even going as far as listing the IRC as a terrorist organisation as well as implementing crippling economic sanctions. He is a bully. What would you do? That’s right, get nuclear weapons. It called nuclear deterrent for a reason.

frankly

They already decided who gets the blame, the investigation will only prove how prescient the MSM are.

Jens Holm

You are relate to Frank and Honest ?

frankly

No but I like Frankincense.

Jens Holm

B e aware, its family of mine :)

Sinbad2

Sober, when were you last sober 1963?

Jens Holm

I am not USA. Nothing wrong in at least trying to get sober investigations. None says, there should be only one.

Denmark has many many ships comming there every year. We dont want any confrontations there importing as well as exporting for the whole world for billions in profit.

Hasbara Hunter

IF ANYTHING HAPPENS THEN IT WILL BE AN ANGLOZIONAZI-FALSE FLAG-ATTACK TO GET THE AMERICAN CANNONFODDER CHEERING FOR ANOTHER WAR….

They found this suspicious passport with some abandoned diving tanks on the beach near the ships. That’s right! Damn you, Scuba Putin!

frankly

Just like finding the hijacker’s passport on 9/11 or a pristine gas canister sitting on a bed, after cutting a piece of rebar, proof positive most things in the news are evidence of conspiracy because they show nothing that common sense would dictate. You remember common sense, it evaporated the day we were able to ignore Eisenhower’s speech warning us not to trust the MIC. Who would know more about that than him, had the balls to state it plainly and us/US ignored him!

You know, no wonder they crap on us, with a history of ignoring plain news like the USS Liberty they probably figure we deserve to be treated like Goy.

Nobody will believe USA narrative but north americans and britishs.

Israelis…. they enjoy creating conflicts…

verner

the squatters are spoiling for a war on behalf of the half wits from washington dc and employ their ever evil mossad for that purpose. and thus, what is better than to attack the shipping going out laden with saudi oil, or kuwaiti oil. the half wits are sorely likely to raise to the bait placed by the evil squatters and do something seriously dumb as only the seriously dumb idiots in washington dc do. and the squatters are willingly sacrificing good american boys as body bag fillings for the purpose to start the war the squatters have no intention to participate in (unless in a seriously limited way).

but still, it’s MOSSAD spelled all over it.

opet ja

Jesus, look at the size of flame and smoke. It seems ships are stabile, indicating no water entered the hull, at least at these two photos. But I am sure Iran is guilty…

verner

no extremely unlikely – say kike and mossad and you’re in the money with an exceptional certainty.

Concrete Mike

Why would iran do this when a war would not benefit them.

War only.”benefits” israel.and usa. To rescue stupid Saudis and stupid UAE from the yemenis coming to skin them with a sandal.

All true.

Your basic question is why Twitter and You Tube are now being so heavily censored with so many accounts suspended and deleted – this question is not wanted by the powers that benefit.

I do not believe Iran is responsible for this one. Iran takes great pride in being the Coast Guard of the Persian Gulf and if they were planning to harm shipping they would never do so in open waters near their coastline. Whoever did this knows that and was insulting Iran.

Iran’s Modus Operandi would be to stop and detain tankers; not to attack them in open waters.

I actually think it’s possible Iran could have been behind the earlier incident because those ships were at anchor, no one was in danger, and it would have served as a warning for ‘see what will happen if you push us’. Not saying that Iran is to blame for that, just saying that I don’t consider that a ridiculous theory but this is ridiculous.

FlorianGeyer

My money is on Mossad and their zionist pals for both occasions.

chris chuba

I would put nothing past Netanyahu, he is a man of violence and he did offer to sink Iranian tankers. Funny how the commentators and MSM only exaggerate Iran’s conditional threat in ‘closing’ Hormuz but never even repeat Netanyahu’s offer to attack merchant ships.

Israel has 6 ‘Dolphin’ class submarines with the range to accomplish such an attack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_Navy#Submarines They can operate for 30 days without resupply, and cruising at 8knots would allow them to cover 240 miles a day. They also have direct access to the Red Sea from Eilat so a conspicuous passage through the Suez is not required.

Not saying they did but I would rule nothing out with Netanyahu.

FlorianGeyer

Its possible I suppose that a mine could attach it self to one of the Israely subs. That would bring a few smiles :)

Sinbad2

“I actually think it’s possible Iran could have been behind the earlier incident”

Explosives burn the paint, and the steel. Most people haven’t seen a ship having a parking mishap, I have, they look a lot like this.

https://cdn2.img.sputniknews.com/images/107497/82/1074978293.jpg

Concrete Mike

This photo is that from tge tanker 2 weeks ago or is that a random “fender bender” as an example?

Because this is.clearly pushed in , the deformation at the peak is very telling .

The paint being scraped off but the primer is still underneath, ive painted enough machines to see it for what it is.

Sinbad2

That’s the Andrea Victory that the US alleges was damaged by an Iranian mine.

https://i2.wp.com/vidnews.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/tankers-almost-certainly-damaged-by-iranian-naval-mines-us-says.jpg?resize=681%2C383&ssl=1

Concrete Mike

The primer is still there. Its either that or body fill, the white ishh stuff.

We cover rough steel with body fill before painting to make it smoother. I have done this procedure to paint counterweights on loaders.

It looks like it either got rammed or backed into the dock.

Sinbad2

“It looks like it either got rammed or backed into the dock.”

Exactly, I think it hit the wharf, but most of the world thinks that Iran attacked this ship. The Americans can make up any lie they want, and most people will believe it.

Free man

The mullahs’ terror regime reward the Japanese prime minister by blowing up two super-tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

Concrete Mike

Keep.barfing bolton’s propaganda , we still wont beleive you though, warmongering parasite.

Free man

You’re welcome to believe the mullahs’ lies. You are probably too old to develop an independent and critical thinking. Grumpy Mike.

Concrete Mike

Im old.enough to remember 2002 and the lead up to Iraq.

Remember that?? Colin powell with his little vial of corn starch at the UN?

I have the critical thinking capacity to see the same patterns as 2002, the same politicians in charge, the same.media cheerleaders cheering them on using language like highly likely, anmonymous intelligence sources on and on!!

Ive been lied to and have lied enough myself to tell the difference!

I live and work in the real world with real people , real machines and real hazards! I can make my own investigations, i can see the patterns too amy dummy.can see them!

But the real.kicker is that the war mongers USA amd Israel are openly calling for war.

The thinks tanks are barfing papers daily outlining the war plans. Its all there in the open!!!

Iran deserves to be left alone in peace, but no we had to do a coup in 1953, the consequences of that lead to today!

So you will.keep.cheering.for war, and i will call.you out for the warmongering pig that you are!!!

Free man

I understand that you are part of the lie. The US is not interested in a war, it is what it says, and its lack of response to sabotage in the Gulf is proof enough. Mullahs supporters like you always use the “Israeli argument” to create a sense of credibility to your claims. But the facts are clear, the IRGC carried out the sabotage, and they want everyone to know it. This is their way of deterrence. Why are you pretending to be a Wester? Why do you think curses make your argument stronger? In the west pig is not considered a defiled / Haram animal like in Iran.

Concrete Mike

Im from canada born and raised, this is as western as you can get!

The us is not interested in war, only in spreading out 800 military bases around the world.

You are projecting on me, for you are part of the lie, using cheap.buzzword like mullahs, I see right through you, as I call you out for the warmonger you are.

I calls em like i sees em, my loader oprator says all the time!

Where is your evidence that IRGC did this? Same evidence Iraq had WMD??

Sorry im.old enough to know, motives must be questionned.

Like your motive is to come out here and slam out as many memes as you can to make us passively think iran is supporting terrorists!

Well Iran is fighting terror in Syria, in Iraq and in its own borders.

Usa is protecting Al Nusrah, usa is protecting SAUDI ARABIA in bombing yemeni civilians!

Leave iran alone they are good people. They should have been left alone in 1953, but that would have been self determination, no natiom cam have that unless its USA approved.

You and your ideological friends are a cancer on this earth..

Stop it with the hate, stop with warmongering, ENOUGH!!!

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

If this was mossad or CIA why hit some oil rtankers nobody gives a shit about? Why not a us navy ship? Strange

zman

To put blame on Iran and try to get the sheeple world wide to believe it. Actually, they don’t give a royal rats ass if anyone believes it or not…just as long as they can get the US sheeple to believe it…then they can continue with their plans to attack Iran. More than likely Israeli Dolphins using the US ships for cover to enter the area unnoticed. Then a short trip to Iranian waters and a quick attack before hiding behind US forces again. Will be interesting to see what evidence is brought out on the munition used..and who it is that ‘finds’ it. Attacking the US forces would be a dead giveaway of a FF…even the US sheeple are becoming suspicious.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

But I read that Iran sent a ship to help out, so that would not go with trying to blame it on Iran lol

zman

Yes, Iran rendered aid to both ships, as I understand it. Nothing Iran could or would do in promoting peace or humanitarian good will will prevent the Zionist lie machine from their duty.

Sinbad2

The American regime could feed shit sandwiches to the American people, and if the regime told them it tasted good, most Americans would agree.

FlorianGeyer

If it was a US navy ship, the crew would jump overboard waving their LGBT flags as they surrender :)

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Hahahaha yea

Pia

because they have defense systems, which would record the kind of attack, the photos, the movies, a lot of evidence pointing wrong way.

goingbrokes

Because this is a frame-up, not a declaration of war. Us cattle are supposed to not feel very good towards Iran now.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

im glad iran was the first to send a boat to rescue the sailors, that kinda went against their “evil iran” narrative lol

does anyone now where the Israeli subs are at the moment? or were it special forces from the US carrier group?

exactly exactly desperate to get the disintegrating states of A to start a war, the squatters probably have stationed one or two of their nuclear capable german stealth subs in the area. and I suppose they can sneak into the red sea undetected unless they already are based there.

Not seeing any serious large flames in the pictures, which suggests a controlled/contained fire.

2 neutral empty foreign tankers ?

Sinbad2

Empty tankers, so that’s seawater burning in the pics?

Jens Holm

Actually I has been i Sharjah UAE, which is in the left corner of the map sailing around some empty tankers as special guest for Middle East Airlines.

I know the difference.

They wait there until they know where to fetch the oil. When they wait they get in fresh food as well as change crews.

I was a travel agent sending a lot of sailors by MEA to all the destinations, they have. Thats why they gave me the gift to see Dubai by airplane and Sharjah by motorway being guest when they loaded in and out from a japanese Maru named one.

Sinbad2

And you have seen seawater burn? Of course you know they use seawater as ballast when they have no oil aboard?

And it wasn’t a torpedo you moron, the ship would have gone up like a bomb if a torpedo hit it.

Concrete Mike

I went out to sea in a small 14′ 8hp boat last night. Windy and rainy.

Holy shit man, it was a humbling experience seeing the white tops coming.

What a man will do to catch fish!!

Jens Holm

Last month a fisherboat sunk here because they filled it too much up.

They thought they would get rich.

In sunk in less then 2 minutes, but they had their lifewests on. They had no time to take the orange rescue boat made of rubber with them, but they was helped by our rescue team having a fast kevler boat with 2 engines.

Sinbad2

We used to have to rescue drunken fishermen who ventured outside Sydney harbour fishing and got into trouble. One time I had to go in the inflatable to try and fix the engine on a half cabin cruiser. Just getting from one boat to the other in rough weather was all the excitement I will ever need. The other dudes were Clearance Divers in their wetsuits, and it was all pretty normal for them. It really used to piss us off getting our weekend ruined looking for idiots.

I’ve seen waves breaking over the flight deck(20 meters) during a typhoon.

Concrete Mike

So you saw other ships delivering supplies to the tankers.waiting offshore?

Would a collision at sea cause the damage we saw last week?

What size vessels are used to resupply?

Jens Holm

Yes, very small ones comming from Sharja with fruit, vegetabiles, milk, eggs and like that. I no expert in weight apart from professional fishing boats. I would say up to 50 tons and by cooled small containers

We were in a boat for shifting crew from their harbour. It had about 20 seats as in an airplane and was well airconitioned having a well educated guide for many languages, and we had to do exact, what he said.

They did it here, because the tankers were in waiting positions, so the terminal didnt got overcrowded. Some ships didnt know where to get oil yet.

We could see incommers, outcommers and visited 2-3 “waiters” and was around one.

We were in Dubai and slept there and visited the big terminals and saw 2 Maersk Line ships from the outside and the fast growing harbour. Big smile from me. The tax in the Coutry wa 2%. In Denmark at that time it was 40%. ……………………………………………….

They try to make safety by doubled layers in the middle of steel. They also deperate the oil/fuel in many tanks. If one get hit, the others often might not. Fire is same thing. They do the best to insolate fires into sections.

I am sure a colission never would do that. Its done with relative small explosions. If its correct the crew saw something moving in the air, it must be something slow like a kind of missiles or in the RPG level.

I wild guess could be ISIS divers firing RPGs. It can be several ones incl. USA making a stunt, but it make no sense to me Iran and USA should have done that.

I dont know why I take away Israel as agressor in that. Its advanced and done by clever planners, because none has been seen doing it – as far as we know.

The idiocy.and petty politics is astounding.

Ive had enough of the NIMBY crowd!!

Toronto Tonto

Great if our economy relied on oil , putins does and its oil and vodka only so they really need higher prices . duh

Paul

Your economy relies on the $ being used by nations to trade. Slowly but surely the world is turning away from it. Get used to the fact your country is losing its power.

grumpy_carpenter

Yea right. Russia has a large aerospace industry, shipbuilding industry, the second biggest arms producer in the world and is self sufficient in energy and agriculture. Everything they produce is made out of materials they mine and process in Russia. They rely on oil for foreign currency however they don’t need foreign currency so unlike Canada exports are irrelevant to them.

Canada no longer has an areospace or shipbuilding industry …. we used to build aircraft and ships but now all we build are parts for US and European aircraft and overpriced ships for the government. Our manufacturing sector is comprised of making a few parts and assembly for US and japanese companies.

We have no market for our oil and gas sector. The USA doesn’t want it because they now have their eye on Venezuela’s oil, the EU refuses our products because it’s too dirty and the Chinese just made a deal with Russia that basically leaves us with no potential buyers even if we could agree on building a pipeline.

We import much of our produce we consume and instead rely on cash crop exports to keep our agricultural industry alive. Now that we’ve pissed off the Chinese we are struggling to sell our crops however we are still relying on imports to feed ourselves.

We are at the mercy and control of foreign markets …. Russia is self contained and can shelter themselves from foreign markets. Russia is sitting in a much better place than we are right now. If the USD starts to tank …. and it look likely that it will … we’re fucked. Time to invest in goats and chickens and maybe dig up the lawn and plant a garden.

Concrete Mike

Our economy does depend on oil stupid!!!

Paul

Oh yeah that’s a well thought out long term solution to keep oil prices up. Moron.

Toronto Tonto

We are talking Russians here stupid .

bla

get lost jew troll , hasbara scum. you are just a buffoon to all of us

Sinbad2

USA of course . Must drive up them crude prices .

Russia can still turn a profit at 40 bucks a barrel, the US needs 60, before this the price was $51, by tomorrow it will be $60. The art of the deal, kill the competition, it’s the American way.

frankly

The US clamoring for a war and suddenly oil tankers start blowing up. They got no other solution but same old, same old. The kings of Chaos play their only calling card, yet another false flag.

Remember the USS Liberty! When you order the whole crew of a ship to keep their mouths shut it proves nothing but conspiracy. If their isn’t a rule against gunning life rafts with injured then why have any rules.

Jens Holm

Because none other has guessed this as an option, I think it also is a possibilty, that that its detonations made by explosives and timers far away from there.

Sinbad2

Well it certainly wasn’t a torpedo, because the ships would have already sunk. It looks to me as if the attack was designed to generate the maximum amount of media coverage. The previous alleged attacks were probably just parking accidents, rather than explosives. The US Navy would obviously know that the damage on previous alleged attacks were not caused by explosives, but they lied. So as we know the US is attempting to inflame tensions, the attack this time was most likely carried out by agents of the USA.

Did some serious damage this time so a serious escalation. i suppose to be expected, as the previous false flag, I mean another heinous Iranian backed terrorist attack, did not generate the desired public outcry for punishing Iran.

CNN had an interesting interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY_zg4nNnew&t=407s

One complement I have I will mention first. Notice the reaction of the pundits when the interviewer mentions possibility of US involvement.

The pundits are already certain who did it and not just Iran, but the terrorist designated revolutionary guard specifically – one pundit said it was obvious work of the revolutionary guard looking at the video CNN aired.

Now to be fair, we apply MSM principles of fundamental justice. Iran will be given an opportunity to prove their innocence.
