Mysterious Explosions Rocked Northern Idlib (Videos, Photos)

On October 11 afternoon, two explosion rocked the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, which is occupied by several terrorist groups.

The large explosions took place in the outskirt of the town of Maarrat al-Ikhwan, in the northern Idlib countryside. A fairly large refugee camp is located near the explosions site. Ambulances and first responders were seen rushing to the site. However, no casualties have been reported, so far.

Some opposition sources reported that the explosions were caused by stand-off heavy munitions launched by U.S.-led coalition warplanes.

Other sources, however, claimed that two ballistic missiles launched by the Syrian Arab Army or Russian forces hit a large ammunition depot of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The terrorist group is dominating most of Greater Idlib.

HTS has not commented on the issue yet. The group is known for hiding its losses, especially in attacks carried out by Syrian or Russian forces.

More details about the mysterious explosions, their causes and results will likely surface in the upcoming few days, if not hours.
