The Syrian National Defense Forces (NDF) deployed large reinforcements in western Deir Ezzor amid reports of a large ISIS attack on the region.

The reinforcements were reportedly deployed near the town of al-Shola on the strategic M20 highway, which links Deir Ezzor with the country’s central region.

Al-Shola and its countryside came under a large-scale attack in the early hours of December 17, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). The monitoring group claimed that the terrorist group managed to impose control of a large area near al-Shola, thus threatening the highway.

SOHR’s claims were denied by the Syrian-state TV. The country’s national channel didn’t provide any details on what exactly happened near al-Shola. However, activists said that it was a usual hit-and-run attack by ISIS.

The attack was likely launched from the Homs desert, which lays between western Deir Ezzor and eastern Homs. The desert is infested with ISIS terrorists.

This was not the first such attack by ISIS on the M20 highway, which explains the need for additional reinforcements in al-Shola and other key points along the road.

Can someone please explain to me how a ‘monitoring’ organisation based in the UK seems to know more of what’s going on in Syria than the actual Syrians do?!!!

Franz Josef Kunz

Rami Abdulrahman (aka Rami Abdul Rahman), operates from his home in Coventry. He apparently has about 200 contacts that collect information for him in various areas in Syria. He is anti-Assad, and escaped from Syria to avoid prosecution. So you can only guess, which side will his reporting be favoring.

How about agents and spies…

Concrete Mike

He is spoon fed from western intelligence that run the syrian rebels.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

all other SAA/russian forces not participating in idblid MUST clear out the desert area in this region of all daeshbags, i think this has to be number one priority for all forces not partaking in idlib battle

They’re coming there arriving from Al Tanf, Iraqi desert, and of course from Saudi Arabia, all those Wahhabis. That’s why Iraqi-Syrian border must be closely watched, until Al Tanf, Wahhabi base is empty of Americans.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

agree million percentage

Bill Wilson

That’s what Assad gets for busing them there in the first place.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

And he would not even have to deal with them at all if certain other countries didnt put them there in the first place

Concrete Mike

Small price to pay instead of flattening east ghouta or daraa.

I will compare to how americans destroyed raqqah as an example of why the syrians did what they did.

Only a fool would say the us strategy was better.

Concrete Mike

The daesh bags are.coming over from jordan, they still operate training camps there.

Its a tough situation as its a very remote area.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

i wish russia or iran or someone would just kill all these motherfuckers already and end this shit

It looks like it’s cold where they’re running ops also. I found an LZ at a lower elevation that’s accessible on roads that aren’t seanonably closed if they’re passable. And ran my first coms op using a guided meditation from Dr. Greer. My next task is interaction escalation management. The lower elevation LZ is in between where I had the bigfoot vocalization encounter 3 springs ago and found the bigfoot trackline this past spring in an area where the ships can be seen overhead. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/fe5da2a221052d3aed989f1b7dc6c23bf30092cf328bb97c074cbd729ce28f83.jpg
