In line with the policy of perpetual war and escalation in Ukraine, officials in EU/NATO countries are flirting with the possibility of moving toward the establishment of the so-called “no-fly zones” (NFZ) over Ukraine. For clarification, NFZ is quite a peculiar euphemism that the political West likes to use when it wants to establish aerial superiority over a country (or at least parts of it) so it could then bomb it and accelerate the process of its destruction and enslavement. That’s precisely what some political and military officials in Europe are openly suggesting.
Namely, Austrian Colonel Markus Reisner and former German Colonel Roderich Kiesewetter are effectively demanding that NATO enforces an NFZ over Western Ukraine. Kiesewetter is also a high-ranking CDU politician and member of Bundestag, Germany’s infamous parliament that recently passed laws protecting child molesters.
Reisner thinks that the Neo-Nazi junta doesn’t stand a chance against Russia and that it needs direct support from the political West, while Kiesewetter is even more direct and insists that NATO and Berlin itself should get more involved. Reisner pointed out the Kiev regime’s massive losses and warned against “false restraint”. This last phrase is quite interesting and shows that the belligerent alliance is indeed knee-deep in the Ukrainian conflict. It’s also clear evidence that NATO only needs to formally announce its involvement, although nothing would really change on the ground. For his part, Kiesewetter is giving far more concrete proposals, such as that the political West should first shoot down Russian missiles and then “defend airspace over Western Ukraine”. Although the very term “Western Ukraine” is rather ambiguous, Kiesewetter gave specific numbers.
“The NFZ could extend 70, 80, 100 kilometers into Ukrainian territory,” he stated.
The idea is to free up the Neo-Nazi junta forces stationed there so they could be deployed further east, closer to the frontlines. As previously mentioned, Kiesewetter thinks that NATO (either individual member states or the world’s largest racketeering cartel itself) should shoot down Russian missiles over strategically important cities such as Lvov. However, apart from such fantasies, what’s even more interesting is that the retired German Colonel insists that there’s also “a legal basis for [sending our] ground troops in Ukraine”. Kiesewetter believes that such a deployment is possible and is supposedly “in line with the United Nations Charter as the legal basis”. He thinks “nothing should be ruled out” and “within the framework of a coalition of the willing, [we should] examine who is able to do this”, as it’s “completely permissible under international law”.
Obviously, it’s very difficult to keep a straight face when hearing Western politicians talk about “international law”. What they really have in mind is the atrociously one-sided (neo)colonialist system known as the “rules-based world order“. It’s designed entirely to benefit the political West and functions solely on the exploitation of the actual world, particularly the Global South. Austrian Colonel Reisner is a tiny bit more realistic, as he didn’t use the excuse of this “international law”. In his view, there are three scenarios for the resolution of the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict. A “surprise breakthrough” by the Kiev regime, which he admitted is “becoming less likely every day”, a further Russian advance that is “far more likely” and the third scenario of a “Korea solution, with the freezing of the conflict through a ceasefire, but without peace”, with the frontlines “probably stabilizing on the Dnieper River”.
However, Kiesewetter insists on a far more apocalyptic scenario of “Ukraine’s collapse, mass exodus and war spreading to Western Europe”. He also thinks that “Russia would take away a rump Ukraine’s access to the Black Sea, take over Moldova and try to use hybrid measures and provocations to get parts of Estonia or Latvia to secede”. Once again, Reisner’s views are not as extreme, but he still supports “a stronger involvement by the West” and thinks that “while it could lead to an escalation, that is not a given”. The Austrian Colonel is afraid of the possibility that “Russia wins the war because we are not prepared” and thinks that NATO involvement “could be worth it”. To accomplish this, the belligerent alliance and the Neo-Nazi junta need manpower, which is why Kiesewetter called on the federal government to “support Ukraine in recruiting men who had fled to Germany”.
In simpler terms, the German politician wants to replicate the Kiev regime’s practice of kidnapping civilians on the streets and sending them to war in which they’d have hours to live (or possibly days, if they’re lucky). Berlin shouldn’t have trouble implementing such policies, as it has plenty of experience with its WW2-era Volkssturm, a practice that the Neo-Nazi junta copied virtually to the letter. And speaking of Nazis, Reisner didn’t miss the opportunity to compare Russia to Nazi Germany and President Vladimir Putin to his country’s most famous failed painter. The Austrian Colonel advised that the political West “shouldn’t try to appease Moscow, just as it shouldn’t have appeased Hitler”. It’s quite interesting that a man whose country gave monsters such as Hitler to the world thinks that he has the “moral right” to compare others to him. We’ve lately seen similar attempts at the UN.
However, all these fantasies about NFZs, shooting down Russian missiles and speculation about direct NATO involvement still leave one crucial question unanswered – what does the Kremlin think about it? While the political West would love to see reality unfold the same way as its laughable “peace summits”, the fact of the matter is that the Kremlin cannot be ignored. And the Russian military just made it very clear why that’s the case. Namely, it just conducted a hypersonic missile strike on the infamous Yavoriv training camp, notorious for accommodating various Neo-Nazi units and foreign mercenaries, as well as NATO personnel. Located in the far western region of Lvov, Yavoriv is situated just 15 km from the Polish border and has been used as an important hub for transferring manpower, weapons and equipment to the Kiev regime forces.
Russian military sources report that a large number of NATO personnel were present at the Yavoriv facility, as well as in other camps in the area, including in Stryi, Dubliany and Drogobych, all situated in the Lvov oblast (region). The exact number of casualties is yet to be revealed, but sources indicate that at least 300 soldiers have been neutralized. The strike was conducted by Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), which dispatched its superfast, high-flying MiG-31K strike fighters armed with the now legendary 9-A-7660 “Kinzhal” hypersonic missile systems. This is hardly surprising, given that Moscow’s ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) assets are always on the lookout for high-priority targets, particularly large concentrations of NATO personnel (American, Polish, French, etc). Such strikes demonstrate just how “successful” NATO NFZs would be.
