August 28, once again, the Eastern European countries, which are NATO members (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland) once again demanded from Belarus to expel the fighters of the PMC “Wagner” from its territory. Is this a link in the chain of preparation of the eastern flank of the Alliance for a full-scale conflict with Minsk?

At the moment, it is impossible to say anything concrete on this issue, as all official statements of NATO functionaries assure the world community about the unwillingness to incite new military conflicts. Moreover, for the countries of the Alliance’s eastern flank and for the West as a whole, it is declared important to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.
However, now this, coupled with the strengthening of the Polish military grouping, looks like a direct escalation of the situation on the borders with Belarus. In addition, the ultimatum obliging Minsk to withdraw groups of refugees from the borders with Poland looks in no other way like an actual declaration of unwillingness to shoot at civilians during a direct conflict.
On the other hand, the West should understand that at present Belarus is no longer just a country pursuing a multi-vector foreign policy aimed at building a dialogue with all its neighbors. It is now a country under the external oppression of European countries, actively approaching Russia and China, which are in open conflict with NATO. Moreover, in addition to PMC “Wagner”, which is so feared by the Old World, Russia’s armed forces are stationed in the country, united in the Union Group. One should not forget about tactical nuclear weapons, transferred by Russia to the Belarusian territory.

Thus, the countries of the eastern flank of NATO are now actually trying to involve Minsk in another military conflict. Acting on the instructions of their overseas allies, these countries either do not realize the possible consequences or just ignore common sense. At the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian President indicated that irreparable consequences awaited those who would directly hinder the achievement of the goals.
