A recently released — and then deleted — document from a NATO committee has sparked headlines in Europe with an official confirmation of a long-held open secret: U.S. nuclear weapons are being stored in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey.
The Washington Post reported that the document by a Canadian senator for the Defense and Security Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly detailed the future of the organization’s nuclear deterrence policy but accidentally exposed the locations of US nuclear weapons.

The document titled “A new era for nuclear deterrence? Modernisation, arms control and allied nuclear forces” was originally published in April without making waves. On July 16, a Belgian newspaper published a copy of the document featuring the locations of about 150 U.S. nuclear weapons.
“These bombs are stored at six US and European bases — Kleine Brogel in Belgium, Büchel in Germany, Aviano and Ghedi-Torre in Italy, Volkel in The Netherlands, and Incirlik in Turkey.”
The final version of the report was reportedly published last week that did not have any specific references to where the nukes are stored.
NATO officials already claimed that the document featuring US nuclear weapons locations was not official. However, these late attempts to hide the widely-known data will not likely succeed.

Almost everyone (who was interested) here in the Netherlands knew we have nukes stored at Volkel.

I consider myself informed and I did not know that and am outraged.

All vassal states host nuclear weapons. It’s in their genes. ?
It does let the people of those European cities realize that if the US launches a nuclear war, those sites will be among the first to be destroyed. It just might give those people the impetus to kick the nukes from their countries.
How many non-nuclear nations store US nukes?

Genuine questions, but, how does it fit in with international law? What if those non-nuclear nations, deliver the nuke, to wipe out some nation, on behalf of the US, where do they stand? Or even domestic law?
Germany was de-militarised, back in 1945, Potsdam Agreement, which also de-nazified Europe and set up the creation of the United Nations, based on self determination. The irony, Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill, met up in Yalta, Crimea, Russia, to start the discussions, which led to the Potsdam Agreement. Roosevelt, who was going to charge Allen Dulles (Operation Paperclip) for treason, just weeks before his death. He was replaced by Truman, who owing to ‘little willy syndrome’, had to show Stalin that the US had working nukes and chose Hiroshima and Negosaki, to show what he could do. Just when Japan had surrendered. Churchill lost the election and was replaced by Atlee and Stalin was both part of the Yalta Discussion Group, as well as a signatory to the Potsdam Agreement.
Germany was de-militarised and there 1949 Constitution, supported the de-militarisation. They could only have Forces, who were not allowed heavily armed systems and weapons, unless working with others. Hence the demand for Article 42 in the Lisbon Treaty, where all EU Member States will hand over their Forces, weapons and systems, under Brussels rule, dominated by Germany. De-nazification – Ukraine, fully supported by the US, UK, Canada and NATO member states, with their Nazi battalions. The UN is up and running, with the Charter based on self determination, only it does not apply to Crimea. Ironic, when it was Yalta, Crimea, Russia, where the foundations of creating the UN originated.

Netherlands – Neutral WWII Turkey – Remained neutral until the final stages of World War II and tried to maintain an equal distance between both the Axis and the Allies until February 1945, when Turkey entered the war on the side of the Allies against Germany and Japan
