AlMasdarNews reports: The Asayish forces (Kurdish police) have turned their attention to the Qamishli Airport that is controlled by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) after ongoing clashes with the Arab tribes in the National Defense Forces (NDF).
According to local sources, the Asayish have indiscriminately shelled several neighborhoods inside the city, causing damage to the Qamishli National Hospital.
While the Asayish attempt to capture the airport, the NDF and Assyrian forces (Sootooro and Hamiya Al-Jazeerah) launched a counter-attack inside the city, capturing several sites from the Kurdish forces.
The NDF and Assyrian Forces have captured Al-Shabab City, Al-Zhour Roundabout, Al-Ba’ath Bakery, Al-‘Awijah Checkpoint, Al-Wahda Checkpoint, and the Hadaya Hotel.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and People’s Protection Units (YPG) have been deployed to the city in order to restore the peace; however, all ceasefires have failed up to this point.
