Amid the ongoing huge Israeli protests, which are being widely described as the country’s largest in history, embattled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to imminently announce he’s suspending his coalition’s judicial overhaul legislation. He also for the first time warned the country against falling into violence.

Upon his signaling that he will now back down from the controversial overhaul (at least temporarily) – seen as a sweeping power grab – and after banks and shops closed in a nationwide strike, the shekel appreciated against the dollar and Israeli shares immediately rose. The shekel in early morning trading rose more than 1% to 3.55 against the dollar on reports there will be a U-turn.

The protests, which have been gaining steam and spreading for days, hit epic proportions Sunday and overnight into Monday with the shock firing of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant due to his calling for the suspension of the judicial overhaul legislation while asserting the plan would “created an internal rift that poses a clear and immediate threat for Israel’s national security.”

Chaotic scenes have emerged showing over 100,000 Israeli demonstrators blocking Tel Aviv’s main highway, with thousands also gathered in front of Netanyahu’s Jerusalem residence. The situation is still dangerous, according to Times of Israel:

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi issues a public letter addressed to all active and reserve servicemen, saying that Israel “has never known such days of external threats combining with an internal storm.”

“This is a time for responsibility,” he writes amid huge nationwide protests following the firing of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

He essentially said the overhaul plan is not worth a civil war.

The Israeli embassy in Washington has announced closure amid protests abroad and reports of staff leaving their posts in protest…

Even McDonald’s locations in Israel closed down at all locations in the country due to private sector workers joining municipal employees in the protest strike.

But while dissent and chaos has been unleashed even within the prime minster’s own Likud party, given some officials have gone on public broadcast stations to show their disapproval of the judicial overhaul, some powerful ministers are still vowing to follow Netanyahu’s lead.

According to the latest from Axios, “In a dramatic turn later Monday, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, who had also threatened to resign, issued a statement stressing that he would respect any decision Netanyahu makes regarding the judicial overhaul. He also said he would work to stabilize the coalition in order to prevent the government from collapsing. Levin’s announcement gave Netanyahu important backing for suspending the legislation.”

For the first time in history, Israel’s main union, as well as leaders from the banks and the entire business sector, have declared general strike demanding that the government stop the plan to overhaul the judicial system.

And the unprecedented pressure has appeared to work, at least for now.

When the protest continue, we will know that this is a color revolution. Soros is a person non grata in Israel for a reason.

Soros doesn’t even need to do anything in this case. It’s all on Netanyahu’s actions.

Recently, I took the time to review and investigate the official guest list to Schwab’s WEF summit in Davos 2023 which was held in January. Very Surprisingly, Israel had only 1 member attending the summit, who I think was the head of the Central Bank. That’s it!!! Most of the attendees were from Third World wannabe countries and the usual Northern European Nazi states from the Netherlands all into Scandinavia as well as Britain, of course!! The US by far the largest number of guests including many Jews.

And the funny thing is that you have Jewish name.

There are some online who are saying that Soros has died. One can only hope.

Wokey pokey cokey Judges, Soros’ men are already there.

Thus the Judicial-dictatorship will continue at least more 6 months, with the Israeli masses=electorate not-having any influence on their Anti-Jewish judges.

The juridical overhaul is about forcing everybody in Israel to booster jabbing each other once a month. There is no other way if we wanna avoid global viruses on this planet.

So base on what I’ve been reading, it’s a nationwide protest against a recently appointed PM who is looking to firmly consolidate his grip on power? Or is there more to this than meets the eye?

The Judges are extremely Soros’ woke liberal re carnal sins and Netty was elected and in during Trump’s time in office hedonism, so he has been re-elected.

1- You can’t technically “appoint” an Izzie PM. In their beginning where the number of parties were limited, maybe. Now it’s like this: Every person who had an argument with their parents and left the home in a puff can form a party (it’s a joke, but the requirement bar is ridiculously low). If this party wins 2 MPs in general elections, they can enter the Knesset. Since no single party can win a 61 sit majority (the largest one won 31 if I remember correctly) out of 120, they have to form a coalition so the sum of their sits reach that number. That’s where the problem begins: They have to form the coalition with other people who may have a vastly different opinions about fundamental matters and each party tries to take as much as they can from the new government. It’s the reason you see a cabinet where some ministers oppose the PM and threat to resign (meaning implosion of coalition, no longer a majority) if they can’t have their way in certain matters,

Garga

2- Historically (if you can call 75 years history) their judiciary had jurisdiction over their executive. Since Bibi has at least 3 open criminal cases for bribery, embezzlement and corruption, he can’t have that (PMs enjoy immunity during their reign, but that can be overruled in a complicated process, hence the Bibi’s overhaul to eliminate that)

Now if that Damocles Sword is gone, there’s no way to control Bibi. US Democrats don’t like it since Bibi has a different opinion about Russia/the Ukraine and there’s the tiny issue of 2016 US presidential elections meddling that ensured a Trump win. I think we read and hear more about that one if he stays in power.

Garga

3- Did you notice almost all countries have a left, center and right in their politics? Well, not Izzies, not any more. Their parliament consists of far right, ultra far right, ultra very far right. The protestors you in the streets aren’t much different from Bibi’s supporters in regard to their core policies, apartheid state, theft of land, treatment of Palestinians, rabid hostility towards their neighbours and so on. They are upset because he shamelessly wants to save his own skin while they want to put him in jail (for things not related to his actual crimes).

Now Dems intend to punish him. The level of coordination in protests and strikes is staggering. When Bibi’s runt says Americans wants to overthrow his dad, he’s right although the reason (for Iran) is a lie. We are very happy with him as the PM and the current state of affairs there!

Chris Gr

Yes because they have both revisionist Zionists and religious Zionists in their government. Too extreme for me, however, something like Brit-Am is good as movement, not extreme and not idiotic at the same time. Iran has many factions also, just like many countries in the region. The faction of Raisi is quasi-fascist, the faction of Ahmadinejad is populist (like Sadr) and the faction of Rouhani are the reformists. However, you have groups like the Shahists (monarchists) and the pan-Iranists (full-blown fascists).

Garga

4- Oh, I forgot to add: Based on my information Bibi won’t withdraw the “overhaul”. He may postpone it for some time (with great difficulty and until they manage the protests) or with a face-lift propose a slightly different reform with similar outcome. If he backs down, the crazies in his cabinet (it’s telling when there are people even crazier than Bibi himself in his cabinet and he seems to be logical and in the middle in comparison) leave out to dry. They have so many plans for future of their regime!

These are the kind of people that don’t accept “average Joe the Zionist” as a good Izzie and scare away even the most obedient puppets like king of Jordan with their antiques. The polarization of their society is going to get much worse if we can hold them in power for another 6 months. Damned Americans trying to ruin my hard work!! ;)

Peter Jennings

What usually happens in these cases, is that the ‘overhaul’ is temporarily suspended, the opposition is weeded out, and the whole lot reintroduced down the line.

Chris Gr

Demonrats are against Bibi

If only Americans had the same resolve back in Jan 6; things would have been different. I seriously don’t understand how Netanyahu returned back to power. Voters have no one to blame but themselves for electing such a corrupt POS politician. Assuming the election was genuine. I was certain he would face jail time last time.

The Divine Creator is the Universe’s greatest planner. It still had a need for Nutty yoyo and we’re seeing it unfold. The “Jewish” state is being destroyed from within due to all its arrogance and illicit immoral acts. A few short weeks ago, Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s spiritual leader said: “we have no need to attack the Zionist regime in the near future or later, it is imploding and collapsing by itself….” It is clear to a blind bat that he knows full well Israel’s destiny. The 6 gagillion dollar question now is: where will the Jewish squatters go afterwards??? Will they attempt to move into Ukraine and create a Jewish state in the heart of Europe??? It seems that current Ukrainian governing regime is nothing but a who’s who of Jewish bureaucratic riff raff and rabble rousers starting from that sodomite degenerate Zelensky, then his Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and others. A mere cohenincidence????

Chris Gr

If Israel is destroyed then the Jews will move to Jordan. It is written.

Jim

Where it is written?

Peppe il Sicario

Written on the walls of gay glory-holes all over Tel Aviv!!

Chris Gr

Israelis treat the terrorist really nice. That’s what they deserve actually.

Chris Gr

I believe in the Bible but I don’t remember where.

Jim

You believe? Written “somewhere”? Oh, those are facts indeed.

Chris Gr

I can’t find the place just. I forgot it.

Chris Gr

People like Netanyahu, Erdogan and Orban are liked by many because they are conservative and patriots and less corrupted than their counterparts of the center-right and the center-left.

Netanyahu changed his mind because his lawyer said he will no more defend him in cases of bribary and other cases. No other reason for coming back to senses. Netanyahu before this, with changes he wanted to bring which resulted in violent protests, wanted himself to protect in cases his lawyer defends him 😂😂😂

Storm coming in his life, can’t stop laughing on this. He cornered himself.

It would seem that the people of isreal don’t want a dictator, or a greater isreal. Let’s face it, they have stolen enough land already. Does Netty remind you of anyone? A leader trying to acquire dictatorial power and then attacking its neighbours to acquire more land from those in the East? When an ‘outside influence’ burns the Reichstag then we will know that it’s the same playbook.
