On January 30, a large explosion rocked the Turkish-occupied Syrian city of Afrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
A vehicle backed with explosives reportedly went off in Afrin’s industrial district. The fairly large explosion, which was heard all over Afrin, caused large destruction in the district. Several workshops were completely destroyed. Moreover, glass shattered in nearby residential areas.
According to several opposition sources, six people, including a child, were killed in the attack. At least 16 others were wounded. Some of them are in a critical condition.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. However, the Turkish Ministry for National Defense held Kurdish forces responsible. As usual, no evidence whatsoever was presented.

Turkish forces occupied Afrin in 2018 following a large attack on the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG). Since then, the region has been unstable. Turkish-backed militants and civilians regularly suffer from attacks.
While Turkey holds Kurdish forces responsible for the instability in Afrin and other Turkish-occupied areas in northern and northeastern Syria, many opposition activists say that Turkish-backed militants are responsible.
According to the activists’ claims, the militants facilitate bombings in Turkish-occupied areas in exchange for money from Kurdish forces. Thus far, Ankara has done nothing to stop this.

So were any Turkish military hurt / affected or their proxies or were just civilians left to bear the brunt of the attack. Workshops sounds like civilians stuff so does Turkey say bomb away and blow up your own..
