A bus carrying soldiers and officers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was struck by an improvised-explosive device (IED) while it was passing near the town of al-Yadudah in western Daraa in the morning of July 17.
Pro-government activists said that at least five Syrian service members were killed and several others were injured in the blast, which completely destroyed the bus.

Al-Yadudah’s local fighters joined the reconciliation process in mid-2018 following the SAA’s large-scale military operation in southern Syria.
This was the second such attack in southern Syria this month. On July 13, an IED planted on the road between Busra al-Sham and al-Sahoah in eastern Daraa targeted a unit of the Russian Military Police. However, no one was injured or killed.
Opposition sources claim that these attacks and many before were carried out by new anti-government groups in southern Syria. However, local observers believe that terrorist groups, like ISIS and even Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are trying to destabilize the situation in the region by carrying out such actions.

It is clear that everyone is stirring up in Syria, and the Americans are experts in it. But what bothers me is that some people are playing the “blame game” rather than dealing with what is important. And what is important in my opinion is a cessation of the war and the rebuilding of Syria. Otherwise Syria will become Somalia like failed state. A state of crime gangs without a functioning central government.
That is what is planned, like Libya. The US pushed the Kurds south to take Raqqah, and then farther south to capture the oil fields. So now the US holds a third of Syria, everything east of the Euphrates, all on the pretense of “helping the Kurds”. What is important is the US withdraw from Syria, including Al Tanaf. The Kurds did not want to die taking that city as it was without a Kurdish population and far south of their traditional territory. The result was Raqqah was bombed back to Stone Age rubble. Raqqah was an ancient city, devoted to the Egyptian Goddess Isis. It was a premium heritage site, that bombing destroyed 5-10 thousand years of history. “Lets see how America free Raqqah” was a small part of Putin and Assad’s public protests against American involvement in Syria.
