On October 14, the Armenian Bars Media Documentary Film Studio released a video revealing more details about a recent ambush in which dozens of Azerbaijani soldiers were killed.
The Azerbaijani troop were attempting to advance in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh on October 1 when they fell in the ambush that was set by local Armenian forces.
The commander of the Armenian unit responsible for the deadly ambush said 60-62 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed. The soldiers were eliminated by local reconnaissance and artillery units from a close distance. The ambush lasted for a few minutes only.
During the ambush, Armenian forces also captured two Azerbaijani soldiers, who confirmed that Syrian militants and Turkish service members are backing their attack.
The Azerbaijani attack on Nagorno-Karabakh started on September 27. Since the very beginning, Turkey was accused of backing the attack.
Military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh has so far claimed the lives of hundreds of Azerbaijani soldiers. Baku’s forces made very limited gains on the ground.
