On October 26, a booby-trapped motorcycle exploded in the Turkish-occupied village of Ayn al-Arus in the northern Raqqa countryside.

Ayn al-Arus, located south of the border town of Tell Abyad, was captured by militants of the Turkish-backed National Syrian Army (NSA) two weeks ago.

Opposition sources reported that two civilians were injured in the explosion, which also caused material damaged in the village’s center.

Following the explosion, NSA militants arrested “dozens” of civilian in the town, according to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA). This led to internal clashes among the militants.

“Clashes erupted between the mercenaries of the al-Qadisiyah Brigade and the National Army,” the Kurdish agency’s report reads.

This was the third such explosion around Tell Abyad this week. A day earlier, a civilian was killed in a car bomb attack south of the town. Prior to that, a booby-trapped car exploded inside Tell Abyad injuring at least four people.

Opposition sources claim that cells of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are behind these explosions. However, this is yet to be proven.
