CCTV released new videos of events that unfolded on the Bosphorus Bridge in Turkey on the night of July 15 when civilians clashed with military forces who tried to take power in the country. The footage captured on CCTV cameras from multiple angles reveals the true horror of that day.

While tanks rolled onto the streets of Istanbul on Friday night, two major bridges of the city – Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge were blocked by uniformed soldiers from the breakaway army units.

After soldiers took up positions, they ordered a state television channel to read out a statement on the seizure of power by the military. Civilians on the Asian side of the Bosphorus Bridge, which connects the European and Asian parts of Istanbul, were mobilized by this announcement.

The path to the European side was quickly blocked by soldiers and military vehicles, including tanks. Military wanted to prevent any actions of anti-coup activists that could ruin their plans.

The confrontation on the Bosphorus Bridge that became an iconic place of the events of that night, ended on Saturday morning. Civilians could stand their ground, despite heavy losses.

During the deadly night of confrontations 246 people were killed across the country, while 2,185 others were wounded.

Thousands of people gathered on the Bosphorus Bridge at night on July 21 to commemorate the victims of the failed coup attempt. A crowd walked across the bridge waving Turkish flags and chanting: “Our martyrs are immortal, our nation cannot be divided!”

The fact that Obama did not support the coup speaks volumes given Erdagon is out to turn Turkey into an Islamic Theocracy. They are both Muslim Supremacists. Every individual has the right to believe what they want . . . without Sharia law enforcement. Wanna be a Muslim? Fine. Think you can force people to be Muslim. Do you really want to go there, because shit is going to get real very soon. We are tired of these remnants from the Dark Ages. And I can only hope when Trump wins this is all turned on its head. Liberty for all free people. We need a global separation between church and state. That is one thing our founders got perfectly correct.
