On April 30, ISIS terrorists ambushed a bus carrying Syrian Arab Army (SAA) service members in the eastern Homs countryside.
An improvised explosive device (IED) struck the bus as it was moving on a road east of the T3 pumping station. After the explosion, several ISIS terrorists targeted the bus with machine guns and run back to the desert.
According to pro-government sources, at least four Syrian service members were killed and many others were injured in the ambush.

ISIS’s news agency, Amaq, is yet to release a statement confirming the group’s responsibility for the attack. The group usually release the details of such attacks within 24 hours.
The attackers likely came from the Homs desert, which lays between eastern Homs and western Deir Ezzor. Hundreds of ISIS fighters and commanders are reportedly taking shelter in the desert.
The SAA and its allies are now conducting a series of operations in the Homs desert. A day earlier, the SAA ambushed a convoy of ISIS in the region. Several vehicles of the terrorist group were destroyed and one was captured.
The new ambush near the T3 station will likely encourage the SAA and its allies to intensify their operations in eastern Homs.

I don’t understand why the SAA didn’t pursue the attackers when they just ran away back to the desert afterwards?
Looks like Zioterrorists in ISISrael, the US base in al-Tanf and Jordan are giving their Islamist mercenaries extra intel and weapons support under the cover of covid19 “humanitarian aid”. The recent US/SDF operation in eastern Deir Ezzor also must have something to do with the jihadis’ blitzkrieg guerrilla attacks.
This is not acceptable. It is not possible that SAA-Russia with so many soldiers, weapons, intelligence resources, and missiles can not get rid of these terrorists in this area. Not excuse at all are acceptable.
I said a few days ago,its a job for mobile special forces to locate the rats nest in the desert,then if they have to call in air strikes on the rats,also if the SAA had some combat choppers in the air those rats couldn’t have run very far before they were shredded,its stupid sending a bus full of soldiers on a road known to be under threat without backup.
T3 should be an UAV air base used to constantly monitor this patch of desert keeping special attention on known water sites and any movement from al Tanaf or Dier Azzor. This should be a training area for UAV deployment in more intense areas, eg., Idlib.
