On June 23, US President Biden signed a new $450 million aid package for Ukraine that includes more High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), patrol boats, and tactical vehicles. This was the 13th such outlay this year.
On the same day, Ukrainian officials confirmed that they had received the first HIMARS delivery as part of the previous aid package which was announced on June 1. 4 HIMARS are already in service with the AFU.
The $450 million weapons package includes:
- Four more HIMARS
- 36,000 rounds of 105 mm ammunition
- 18 tactical vehicles to tow 155 mm artillery
- 1,200 grenade launchers,
- 2,000 machine guns,
- 18 coastal and riverine patrol boats
- Spare parts and other equipment.
Four additional HIMARS will be transferred to Kiev in mid-July, according to the CNN report with reference to a senior representative of the American administration.

The new package was agreed within the $40 billion Ukraine aid bill that Biden signed into law back in May.
According to the US DoD, Washington has now committed approximately $6.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden Administration, including approximately $6.1 billion since the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Since 2014, the United States has committed more than $8.7 billion in security assistance to Ukraine.
Including the initial $13.6 billion aid bill for Ukraine, the US has authorized about $54 billion to spend on the war in Ukraine.
The funds are meant to last through the 2022 fiscal year, which ends on September 30 for the federal government.

Not yet they don’t. They’ll have that capability some time in 2023. The USA is playing catchup. Russian MLRS systems already have long range missiles to match the HIMARS 300 km range missile. This new long range missile coming out in 2023 was developed to match the range of the Iskander which was limited to 500KM range due to the INF treaty but now that the INF treaty is dead Russia is free to extend the range of Iskanders while the USA won’t match the current range of the Iskander until at least 2023.
This is all academic really because Russia has spies all over Ukraine / EU / USA and they have the ability to strike anywhere in Ukraine with impunity. They’ll know when the planes are loaded, when they leave the USA and arrive in Europe then where they are delivered to in Ukraine and tracked and destroyed. Russia may wait until they are in the field so they can take out the launcher along with missiles and trained crews.
If you watched that video of the destruction of a M177 battery the Russians waited until the weapons were set up, camoflaged and ammo distributed before attacking the whole shebang with deadly accurate arty.

The plane is never going to enter Ukraine air space. It’s likely flying to Poland so shooting down a US aircraft over Poland would certainly bring NATO into a war. If they wait for the missiles to get to Ukraine they can be destroyed without having to fight NATO… even if they could beat NATO on the ground these are 2 nuclear powers … they’ll fight until one side or the other runs out of something whether that’s weapons, ammo, food or fuel it doesn’t matter … once they run out of some strategically vital commodity they go nuclear.

After the Russians take a settlement outside Lisichansk from Zelensky Nazi forces the TV reporter interviews a lady there who says that before the battle Zelensky troops were in a basement along with the lady’s family and her neighbors. But when the battle started the lady’s family went to their house to get water and her neighbors went across the street to get their things and then the lady heard shots. But she and her family did not go to find out the matter because the battle had begun. After the Russians took over the lady and her family searched for their neighbors and found them dead. They had been executed by criminal Zelensky troops who had shot the man in the head and the his wife in the back. Zelensky troops could have clearly seen that these two people were civilians yet they executed them. This is just another of the many war crimes done by puppet Zelensky government. Polish people are sick of hohol criminals and we want them out of Poland and line in peace with Russian neighbors.

Ukrainian battered forces in full retreat
As the Russian noose tightened battered Ukrainian forces have been ordered to withdraw from the key battleground city of Sievierodonetsk after weeks of fierce street fighting, in order to limit more casualties and regroup, but the move is seen as a significant victory. The Russians pincers are now trying a trap a large fleeing Ukrainian battle group trying to cross the Dnieper river near Dnipro, but Russian airpower is destroying bridges make escape difficult. Some Ukrainian units have abandoned their heavy equipment and trying to swim across the river.
These HIMARs are just M270s without having the LR missiles. No big deal, no game changer. They will fire at civilian homes in Donetsk, kill a few civilians and then be destroyed by RF aviation..

Lavrov already said that such shipments are legitimate targets. So now it’s up to the Russian Air Force to spot the shipments and destroy them (preferably in the air) before they can be even deployed into the field. Failing to do so would put Russian lives in danger, both civilians and soldiers.
USA hasn’t won a war since Kuwait, and they turned victory into defeat when ISIS rose to power and nearly took over several countries. Their military doctrine and their culture is not conducive to victory. Seriously WTF is 4 HIMARS going to do, they need to be stationed with patriot missile batteries, artillery radars and deployed in larger numbers, these token systems are designed to be hidden, then deployed sparingly. I just don’t think we will see another river crossing failure where these could be effective.
Ultimately tho, Ukraine is HUGE! and since the war has started, there is no easily solution to stopping it. There is no backing out when a chunk of your force is Ukrainians. All we can really hope for is a military industrial complex build-up in Russia that has a clear objective and doesn’t attempt further conflicts.
I think Ukraine will collapse, and their front line in Donetsk is collapsing. But taking those major cities, its not that you can’t, its just the share time it will take to go building to building. I just think there has to be a point in time that Ukrainians see the grass is greener on the otherside as the Western Block fails to support a fuel crisis to start with, but the growing destruction of water, energy and communication assets.

I’ve read it was just 3 vehicles. Now 4. Not a big difference. These machines will be used for training ukros in Poland. HIMARS has firing range between “Hurricane” (16 tubes, 35 km range) and “Smerch” (12 tubes, 90 km range), but just 6 tubes. Ukros have lost much more “Hurricanes” and “Smerches” than will gain HIMARSes. The main question is whether Fashington will give them 500 km range ballistic missile for this complex. They can say no, but give in silence.

More than 300 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries and 35 units of heavy weapons were destroyed in the Nikolaev region. 3. During the day, more than 780 enemy soldiers and officers were destroyed as a result of artillery, aviation and missile strikes.

The MIMARS must be destroyed at the first opportunity! The transport aircraft delivering this equipment I understand is arriving in Germany and Poland. During the Iraq war Saddam Hussain made the mistake of allowing nato to build up it’s forces and equipment in Saudi Arabia. Had he destroyed any military ordinance in that country as it arrived Iraq may have had a chance to at least cause nato some serious damage before they invaded Iraq. Anyway Russian intelligence services are excellent in pinpointing the locations of Western military equipment arriving in Ukraine. So let’s concentrate on finding this equipment and destroying it before thay have a chance to use it.
