A booby-trapped car exploded on November 2 in the occupied town of Tell Abyad in the northern Raqqa countryside, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Local sources said that the car bomb exploded near a gas station in the town, which is located on the Syrian-Turkish border.

“At least ten militants and civilians were killed, while 21 others received various wounds, some of them are in critical condition,” the UK-based monitoring group’s report reads.

Last week, Tell Abyad and its countryside witnessed a series of explosions. Most of the attacks targeted headquarters of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), which occupied the town last month in the framework of the Turkish-led Operation Peace Spring.

As usual, opposition sources accused the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of orchestrating the new attack. However, no evidences were presented.

These bombings reflect the deteriorating security situation in northeast Syria, which is likely a result of the Turkish-led offensive on the region.
