The Houthis will stop all attacks on Saudi Arabia, including those carried out with missiles and drones, as a part of a new peace initiative.
Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Yemeni group’s Supreme Political Council, announced the new initiative during a speech commemorating the 5th anniversary of the group take over in the country.
“We declare ceasing to target the Saudi Arabian territory with military drones, ballistic missiles and all other forms of weapons, and we wait for a reciprocal move from them … We reserve the right to respond if they fail to reciprocate positively to this initiative,” the al-Jazeera TV quoted al-Mashat as saying.
The senior official went on to stress that the continuation of the Yemen war “will not benefit any side,” warning that any further escalation would harm Saudi Arabia and its allies the most.
As a part of the new initiative, al-Mashat called on the Saudi-led coalition to lift its siege of Sanaa International Airport and al-Hudaydah Port.
In the last few months, the Houthis conducted dozens of attacks on key facilities and military bases throughout Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni group used precision-guided rockets, ballistic missiles, suicide drones and even cruise missiles in its attacks.
The peace initiative came less than a week after the Abqaiq–Khurais attack, which the Houthis claimed responsibility for. The attack disturbed Saudi oil exports for several days.
Saudi Arabia and its allies have not responded to the Houthis’ initiative, so far.
So disappointed.

The Yemenis have made it clear from day one that they want a complete Saudi withdrawal from their country, sign a pledge of non-interference and pay for the extensive war damages and casualties. There is growing opposition to this quagmire inside Saudi Arabia where the Sunni tribes helped the drones reached their targets. It is true. The Sunni Yemeni tribes have turned on the Saudis. There are also reports that Sunni tribals inside Saudi Arabia helped the Ansarallah target the Buqiaq facility.It would have taken months to prepare this kind of attack, not days. The drones would have to be prepared and brought to Yemeni border. The agents in the field would need to be trained and moved into Saudi Arabia. An operation like this would be an organizational and operational challenge and could be only conducted with internal support inside the failing kingdom.Nothing good can be said about the US air defense system in Saudi Arabia, which is based primarily on the universally failed US Patriot system. It never activated in this attack, meaning that it has poor coverage of the family run kingdom and the Americunts have sold them and other Wahhabi puppets a bucket load of lemons.
North Yemen stated several launch sites, some of the drones appear to be shorter range deltas. Perhaps Sauds and US can not admit that some of the attack came from within Saudi Arabian territory ? This would be a major embarrasment for MBS. I say, off with his head. :)
If you recall, the unflappable Yemeni spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie confirmed in his initial post strike press conference that they had inside help. He obviously did not give operational details as this modus operandi would be repeated again soon. It was quite apparent the the Yemenis had ground spotters close to the targets who guided the drones and missiles in. I personally believe, based on experience that Saudi Arabia was infiltrated by well-trained operators who were close to the targets and were able to guide the terminal phase of the attacking cruise missiles (and maybe the drones) via video transmitted from the missiles and drones. Keep in mind that Yemenis once constituted the bulk of the Saudi cowards armed forces and know everything about the useless corrupt Saudis. Hezbollah leader Sayyed Nasrallah, renowned for his veracity also alluded to internal dissent inside the rotting Saudi criminal kingdom and growing resistance to the quagmire.
Americunt intelligence was appallingly bad as always, as it based on ELINT aka wiretapping and the Yemenis simply don’t communicate electronically, which is putting it mildly. This is an intelligence epic failure on the order of the failure of 9/11. This is a strategic move and aimed at creating divisions inside the fraying Saudi tribal structure as many Sunni tribes are turning against the house of Saud. Saudi Arabia as we know it is finished now and mostly occupied by Americunts that is fueling tribal resistance as the Americunt savages will misbehave and act worse than animals in a very conservative culture.

The Israelis know that Trump is and will be reluctant to start a war with Iran. Despite all his bellicose tweets threatening Iran, he backed off after being presented with ample ‘excuses’. Two notable ones were the US Global Hawk drone shootdown by Iran and this Saudi oil plant attack merely blamed on them. Israel knows Trump will only act rashly if American troops are killed and Iran can somehow be blamed.

The Houthis had no choice but to very publicly declare a ceasefire so one of their attacks could not be used as an excuse for a US war with Iran. No way in hell would the Houthis ever expect the Saudis to honor a ‘ceasefire’ for any length of time. Maybe after the financial loss of oil production and repairs sinks in, the Saudi’s greed will overcome their pride. Maybe not. Best for the Houthis to back off a bit and not just hand the Israelis a nice false flag opportunity. I doubt that will stop Israel – they need some dead Americans on the evening news to prod Trump to attack Iran for them. That’s what goyim are for.

This is going to be just the week needed for Israel and US to implement more air defense systems. So by the time the Houthis resume they will have less results. Their is no logical point to this. Saudi Arabia fights for the IDF. They desire conquest and expansion, not peace. The people of Yemen should take out the other half of Saudi oil production now before it is to late to target it in the future.
North Yemen may need time to replenish their supply. I think that MBS may be under some serious pressure to make a peace deal.
You are close to the truth. The Ansarallah have scored a magnificent victory and humiliated the Saudi scum globally and they can afford to be magnanimous. Also, the Yemeni armed and Ansarallah are now being merged into more efficient and combined units that as we have seen in Syria takes time. It’s a good way of the Houthis imposing their will on the Saudis. If the Saudis fail to honor and respond positively to the deal….the war continues. It’s just a political position for the houthis to score positive highlights across. Because Houthis know the Saudis will be too arrogant to accept.

houthis can take out the rabigh refinery and the yanbu refineries all on the red sea, north of Yemen and easily take out the desalination plant there where they make some 10000m3pd of fresh water. would it hurt, yeah a bit but not as much as the closing of the refineries.
