On August 8, Syrian pro-government sources shared photos revealing the heavy losses Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies sustained during the recent battles in the northern Hama countryside.
The photos show an up-armored T-72 battle tank and four armored pick-up trucks, which were destroyed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
According to a recent report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the SAA and the Russian Aerospace Forces killed 61 militants, including five working in early warning posts, during the last four days.
The SAA was able to capture the towns and villages of al-Arbaeen, al-Zaka, al-Sakhar, Jaysat and Dimon in the northern Hama countryside.
Despite suffering from heavy losses, HTS and its allies are yet to accept the Sochi agreement and withdraw from the demilitarized zone around Idlib. This will likely force the SAA to step up its ground operations.
bravo SAA!
The militants foolishly picked a poor Ally. The US. A bunch of donkeys. The US sat in the UN lied and lied. This only made matters worse. I guess the “stratagy” was well Syria is very small. Maybe it would have been better to go big. Say Venezuela. Who knows? You can clearly see the US dumped a bunch of arms there and wanted to see what happened. Why? With multiple sources of weopons the SAA was able to counter at last fairly easily. Assad himself said that initially everything was a blur.
Well done SAA.
Go forth and fear no evil ! God is with you SAA !!!
Saa can make some money selling them as scrap metal ?
Foreign Islamist’s and Turkish expansionist have existed by looting Syrian public and private property since 2011. Year after year, there have literally been columns of trucks taking looted railway tracks/ lamp posts/ hospital wards/ building’s steel and aluminum parts north-ward into Turkey. Where Turkish officials take smuggling bribes from border onward, and then the illicit material enters the Turkish black market. Turkey has absorbed vast quantities of stolen Syrian infrastructure – and profited from the theft.
terrible!
Yes it is true, but you forgot to mention truck after truck filled with gallons amd gallons of oil, until October 2015.
Great job SAA! Dishing rats what they asked for.
They finally managed to take Tal Sakar? Awesome! That mountain was the thorn in the SAA’s side after they took and retook Kafr Nabudah.
On towards Kafr Ayn and Khan Shaykhun and all the towns and villages in the southern bulge will fall like ripe into the SAA’s lap.
I’ve heard some of equipment being used in Syria is being used for domestic purposes in the US after it is shipped back!!! I don’t like!!! Leave it there, to far to bring back. I’m hungry.
Wahhabis are so stupid, and more than anything else they’re COWARDS! Their masterminds needs to recalculate situation, because they’re loosing in Yemen too.
Has HTS got anything more than a few rusty old pickups left, probably not.
