Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies suffered from heavy losses while attempting to repel the recent Syrian Arab Army (SAA) attack in northern Hama, several Syrian pro-government sources revealed on August 1.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released several photos showing the dead bodies of several militants who were killed by Syrian troops.

Other pro-government sources published photos showing T-55 and T-72 battle tanks, and a AMB-S armored ambulance of HTS, which were destroyed by the SAA.

SAA units captured the towns and villages of Mushairifah, Aziziah, Abu Raeida Gharbi, Hasraya, Abu Raeida Sharqi, al-Aruani farms and the Syriatel hill in a ground operation on July 31 and August 1. HTS claims that its fighters managed to recapture Hasraya. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed.
The SAA’s successful operation in northern Hama was halted as a result of a new ceasefire agreement. HTS and its allies violated the agreement within a few hours. Nevertheless, the army has not resume its operations, so far.

How many tanks did HTS start off with, how many have they got left, LOL, they didn’t have many to start off with so they can’t have too many left by now,, I’ll bet HTS only have half their heavy weapons left by now, and what they do have left will be run down and close to useless anyway. Isis captured and lost most of the tanks the SAA lost to the opposition groups, the rest of the rebel groups only ever captured a few dozen to a few hundred each at most, and even if HTS did start off with a hundred tanks [doubtful], they lost about 20 or more in the south and many more have fallen into disrepair, how many could possibly be left with now, especially since at least 30 or 40 have been lost here in Idlib over the last 12 months, not many left at all I don’t think. Unless of course the NFL/SLF/FSA give HTS some of their heavy equipment and tanks, they might not need the old dilapidated junk they stole from the SAA anymore, especially since they keep getting new equipment from Turkey all the time, maybe they’re donating their old stuff to HTS now.
