Four civilians were killed and seven others were injured on February 5 in a new rocket attack on Aleppo’s city center in northern Syria.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the attack targeted the district of al-Hamdaniya in the western part of Aleppo city.
Local sources released photos showing the aftermath of the rocket attack. The remains of a 122 mm rocket can be clearly seen in one of the photos. Turkish-made rockets of the same caliber were used in a similar attack on Aleppo last month.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, so far. However, Turkish-backed militants are known to be stationed near the western part of Aleppo city.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies are currently conducting a military operation to secure the outskirt of Aleppo and put an end to such reckless attacks on the city’s center.
