Late on August 14, a new rocket attack targeted Baghdad International Airport in the outskirts of the Iraqi capital, according to several sources.
Iraqi Security Media Cell said in an statement that three “Katyusha” rockets were launched at a U.S. military base within the airport. The rockets reportedly fell in the vicinity of the base.
“No significant losses [were sustained],” the statement reads.
The U.S.-led coalition has not commented on the attack, thus far. In most cases, the coalition admits its losses within 24 hours.
A few hours prior to the rocket attack, Usbat al-Tha’ireen (UT) a new Iranian-affiliated armed group, shared a phrase from Quran, reading: “So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting [from horror],” on its Telegram Channel. This indicated that the group may be behind the attack.
Newly-founded Shiite groups increased their attacks on U.S. troops in the last few months. Some of these groups are now threatening with a more serious escalation.
The U.S. believe that Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH) was behind some of the recent attacks. The new groups, like UT, may be a front for KH, or receiving support from it.

Certain facts in the case of the Beirut explosion are very suspicious. If the ship was in so bad a shape to begin with, why wasn’t it stopped from leaving other ports? Why the owners just happened to abandon the ship in Beirut? Who’s idea was it to store tons of fireworks along side and then ignore all warnings from the port authority and anyone with a basic grasp of chemistry?

There are now videos from Lebanon showing the sound of jets overhead and people pointing them out just before the blast…gone from youtube, but still on other platforms. Since when does an AN explosion (even if enabled; kerosene) vaporize rock? Probably the same way jet fuel vaporized the WTC and caused the building to fall at free-fall speed. UN Security Council rejects US resolution to extend Iran arms embargo
The resolution needed support from nine of 15 votes to pass. Eleven members abstained, including France, Germany and Britain, while the US and the Dominican Republic were the only “yes” votes. It also confirmed US weakness in the world forum.
The United Nations Security Council has rejected a US resolution to extend an arms embargo on Iran that is due to expire in October, as Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a summit of world leaders to avoid “confrontation” over an American threat to trigger a return of all UN sanctions on the Islamic Republic. Russia, Iran’s steadfast ally has over $10 billion worth of weapons deals in the pipeline.
