Israel’s ImageSat International released on April 4 several new satellite images showing two buildings, which were hit in the March 27 Israeli airstrikes on the Shaykh Najjar Industrial Zone, northeast of the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Both buildings are located in the northwestern part of the industrial zone, according to ImageSat’ photos. One of them appears to be a storage hangar. Videos of the buildings, released by the U-News Agency on March 29, support these conclusions.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted each building with several US-Made GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs (SDBs). The bomb’s warhead weights only 93kg, which explains the minimal damage that can be seen in ImageSat’s photos.

Israeli media claimed that Iranian forces were operating in both buildings. However, there are no evidences to support these claims. U-News’ videos showed that both building contained few industrial machines and nothing more.
The Mach 27 aerial attack was not the first on Aleppo. Last year, IAF warplanes bombed a car workshop in the outskirt of the Nayrab military airport, east of Aleppo. Back then, Israeli sources also claimed that workshop was a base for the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
There are several points to we need to analyze. First, this is an industrial area of Syria government which was under development, that is, Israel does not want Syria to be re-built (the excuse of Iran or Hezbolah missile factories or groups will be always claimed by Israel, that is not important). Second, why did not Syria shut down those planes which were located outside Israel airspace ? why did Syria defense air system fail ?. Well, Israel will continue attacking Syria over and over again, until….Syria be totally under control.

Looks as if Israeli Intel failed again and that despite the altitude from which the missiles were launched …….. we are informed the launch was from heights of between 60 and 80 thousand feet, very little damage was done, confirming the claims made by Syrian Air-Defenses that they did manage to intercept a number of those missiles dropped, but whatever the case, the buildings targeted appear to have been (essentially) empty and NOT bursting at the seams with Iranian Missiles and equipment, as we were led to believe by initial Israeli PR. This being said, either/and (a) the Intel on foot of which the Israelis were acting, was both deliberately fed and false and (b) Syrian Air-Defenses coped far better with these mini-missiles than I had thought possible and (c) Syrian Air-Defenses will, in future be far better prepared for high-altitude attack by the Israeli War-machine, specifically deployment of the F-161. Good.
Thing is that they were not trying to achieve any real military objectives. This strike was intended for internal Israeli consumption.
