On January 1, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released a video showing a complex network of fortifications that was captured by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the course of the recent large-scale military operation in southeast Idlib.
The fortifications included deep trenches, underground tunnels and several firing positions for artillery and mortars. The dead bodies of several militants, who were left behind in some of these fortifications, can be also seen in the video.
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), al-Qaeda groups and Turkish-backed factions built these fortifications earlier this year on the hope that they would stop any attack by the SAA. However, the army overrun these obstacles with ease.
Last month, the SAA captured more than 40 towns and villages in southeastern Idlib in the framework of a large-scale military operation. The militants suffered from serious losses while attempting to stop the army’s advance.
The SAA is now reportedly preparing to resume its advance in southeast Idlib. The army could also launch a ground attack in the western Aleppo countryside, according to several recent reports.
Well, the Turkeys military has built the terrorist infrastructure in Idlib. However, the headchoppers did not fight as expected so the Turkeys are trying their utmost by providing fire support from the illegal OPs. That is not going to work either.
They have had 5 years to prepare these defences if thats an example of their thought process and endeavour just think what they could achieve with their own state in a thousand years ….. they might even be able to build a bungalow or a whole house perhaps even a five storey building to throw their gay community off!
