Syrian helicopters carried out early on September 26 a series of airstrikes on militants’ positions in Lattakia’s northern countryside.
According to opposition sources, the airstrikes targeted several positions in the so-called mount Kurd, including the strategic town of Kabani, which is controlled by several al-Qaeda-affiliated groups.
The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) resumed its operations over northern Lattakia on September 23 following a number of ceasefire violations by militants stationed there.
Earlier this month, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), al-Qaeda’s former branch in Syria, deployed fresh reinforcements in the northern Lattakia.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) may be planning to launch a military operation to push HTS and its allies from northern Lattakia. The repeated airstrikes suggest that such an operation may begin soon.

There’s going to be one thing I don’t like about this new amended UN resolution, the restrictions on SAAF activity, Assad’s not forbidden from using his airforce altogether but he has to be very careful from now on, so hopefully SAA artillery can help to take up the slack. 45,000 terrorists are now waiting for doomsday, the UN has given the green light to Assad to do exactly that and I’m sure he will, but due to the loss of full use of his airforce, he’ll have to make tactical changes to the way he’s been doing things so far, artillery barrages followed by ground assaults will probably be the new way he takes ground from now on, but sadly more SAA soldiers will die this way.
What resolution are you speaking of which prevents Syria from fully using its airforce?

Wrong resolutions, resolution 2254 is the one just agreed to. Resolution 2254 was an old Russian/Iranian/Turkish drafted resolution the UN passed way back in 2015. check UN resolutions page for precise info, it’s all available for public scrutiny, everyone can see for themselves just how traitorous the Russians and Iranians have been towards Assad. And some people call me a troll when I try and tell them the truth Assad has refused to comply to that resolution despite the fact Russia and Iran are both allies, and due to it allowing outside foreign meddling in the constitutional process, I’ve been agreeing that Assad would be insane to accept the proposal, that’s why I’ve been calling Iran and Russia traitors to Assad for nearly a year now. Last year during one of their Astana meetings they agreed [Russia/Iran/Turkey] to force Assad into implementing their terrible resolution, you must have missed the story and all my derogatory comments I made on SF concerning their traitorous actions. And since last year Assad’s ignored the Russian/Iranian/Turkish demands to implement their traitorous resolution 2254, he’s ignored all their ceasefires, and hasn’t done not even one single thing to comply to either the Astana agreement or the resolution 2254, good on him. Then last week the US decided to send UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen to Damascus to work out a new deal, and the conditions they made on Assad and the concessions Assad asked from them were all agreed on in full. Assad gained huge concessions from the US, the new amended version is 1000 time better than the Russian/Iranian/Turkish deal was, now only Assad himself gets to choose who sits on the new constitutional committee. The old Russian/Iranian/Turkish deal only allowed Assad to pick 50 of the 150 representatives and allowed opposition groups to pick 100 of them [mostly Turkmen probably], but the new US deal allows Assad to pick all 150, 1000 times better. There are other things included but you can look them up yourself easily if you want to. The details of the new amendments haven’t been officially released yet so you’ll have to rely on news sources for that info, try to rely on Syrian news though as they have the most details but they’re sparse and far between, [don’t want to hurt the Russians feelings maybe]. So after 4 years of knocking back his allies Russia and Iran version of resolution 2254, he agrees to the new US backed proposal after 2 days of talks, so what’s that tell you, I know what it tells me. Assad’s smarter than Putin is, and now because the US desperately want to get Erdogan out of Syria, which is the same thing Assad wants, they’ve decided to cooperate to that effect, Erdogan’s about to be forced out of Syria, and there’ll be nothing the Russians or Iranians will be able to do to stop it happening. The Turkish/Russian/Iranian proposed UN resolution 2254 date 2015, amended a week ago by Assad himself and agreed to in full during a meeting between Foreign Minister Moallem and UN special envoy to Syria Gere Pedersen. google search for UN resolution 2254, or go to the UN homepage to find it, here’s just a couple of articles to help understand but I suggest you look at the UN page itself to get full details.
