An air alert sounded three times a day throughout Ukraine. On the night of August 5, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation reportedly struck military targets in the Kharkiv, Sumy regions and Kherson. During the day, military reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Chuguev were hit.
Later, sirens roared in Kiev, as well as in Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv regions, then they sounde throughout the country. In the evening, on August 5, new wave of strikes with Kalibr missiles was launched from the Black Sea. The military command of Ukraine reportedly recorded several missile launches from Belarus. The number of missiles fired was not officially. However, launches from Belarus have not been reportedly recorded for more than a year.
According to preliminary reports, the missiles reached their targets in different Ukrainian regions. Explosions thundered in the Mykolaiv and Odessa regions, as well as the Kirovograd, Khmelnitsky, Kiev, Zaporozhye, Zhytomyr and the Kherson regions.
The Ukrainian authorities are in no hurry to reveal the results of Russian attack. However, damage to strategically important facilities in the Zaporozhie and Khmelnitsky regions was revealed.
Zelensky admitted that only part of Russian missiles were intercepted. He claimed that the missiles struck the Motor Sich plant in the Zaporozhie region and confirmed strikes in the Khmelnitsky region. The Ukrainian military revealed that the target was the military airfield located near the town of Starokonstantinov.

According to the local reports, more than 10 explosions thundered in the area. This is not the first time that this facility has been struck. Su-24MR aircraft of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade are based at the Starokonstantinov airfield. This brigade is currently reportedly the only aviation unit in Ukraine armed with the winged Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles.
Another Kiev’s attempt to flex muscles and attacks on the Russian territory and in the Black Sea (Link, Link), resulted in new wave of devastating retaliation strikes of Russian missiles.

they have the time to wait it out. let ukraine deplete it’s ammo and money. no need to go all in. ukraine has been on the offensive for two months with their so called counter offensive and they have managed to recapture two pastures, a village and three cows while losing tons of hardware and over 25.000 men. time is on russia’s side and it will be for a while. let the ukrainians exhaust their men and resources

my opinion after 2 years of similar events is very serious:
putin is just like a double agent, trapped by his swiss accounts, so this war of eternal attrition between slavs is exactly what the anglo-saxons want. and it will remain so for a long time until a shameful peace and disadvantage for russia.
