On April 3 and 4, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) carried out more than 70 airstrikes on ISIS cells in Syria’s central region, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR)
The airstrikes targeted vehicles and hideouts of ISIS cells in the following areas:
- Jebel Bishri on the administrative border between Raqqa and Deir Ezzor;
- The desert of al-Mayadin in southern Deir Ezzor;
- The Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle.
According to a report by the SOHR, at least 15 terrorists of ISIS were killed in the recent wave of Russian airstrikes on the central region.
The Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) is also pounding ISIS cells in the region. Two videos showing a Su-22 warplane and helicopters of the SAAF on a combat mission over the region were shared on April 4.

Earlier this week, Syrian government forces kicked off a large-scale combing operation in the southern and western Deir Ezzor countryside with support from the VKS.
The VKS has been playing a key role in the ongoing operations against ISIS cells in central Syria. Last month, nearly 1,400 Russian airstrikes hit the group’s cells, killing or injuring over 80 terrorists.
With the terrorist Ziocorporate globalists of US/UK now freer than before to deploy troops to Jordan, ISIS is certain to get a boost in al-Tanf, fueled by revenue from selling stolen Syrian oil from ISIS/SDF invasion areas to Turkish terrorists and proxies in the north.
Putin’s business and partnership with Zioterrorists policy isn’t going to eliminate invading vermin and restore Syria’s sovereignty over its territory, and so far there’s no prospect of an all-out Russia-Syria-Iran-Hezbollah operation to establish and maintain a permanent joint punitive force against terrorist action. Putin prefers his soldiers to go on joyrides with NATO/Turkish terrorist invaders so Gazprom Jewligarchs can keep sending gas to EU thru Turkstream.
Round and round this goes, when it’ll end nobody knows. I’m a bit old-fashioned. I believe when you fight a war the purpose is to win it and end it as quickly as possible. Apparently not in the modern age. The fact that it continues is the victory?

Yes but those supply lines and bases should have been fried by now,the Russians did a good job when they blasted those fuel convoys,that should be happening every week,nothing should be moving on those roads without coming under attack.
I think the only reason they hesitating doing it because a big number of “advisers” are embedded in these troops/convoys. Sometimes they fry them but they aren’t keen inflating western body count, contrary to the morally bankrupt west Russia still has some decency left.

Local policing is the key to solving the Isis problem, not more airstrikes that do very little to stop Isis activity or end their long standing tenure in Syria. The local police forces in these areas should be bolstered and their intelligence gathering capabilities put into overdrive, that way the locals would feel safer and possibly be more forthcoming with helpful information. Information is going to be the best tool Assad can use to get rid of Isis once and for all, this game of smack the mole is starting to wear thin now, it’s time to start playing a different game, one that Isis doesn’t know the rules to. So I hope they keep up the airstrikes but also add another dimension to their fight, Isis has to be eradicated once and for all, not just stifled until they can re-emerge somewhere else.
