Warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out on November 2 a series of airstrikes on terrorists’ positions in the southern Idlib countryside.
Opposition sources said that the Russian airstrikes targeted the towns of Kafar Sijnah, Jbala, Rakaya Sijneh, Hass as well as the outskirt of the city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man.
Earlier, Russian warplanes carried out several airstrikes on terrorists’ positions around the town of Kabani in northern Lattakia. The airstrikes were a response to the recent attack on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in the region.
The Russian Aerospace Forces resumed their airstrikes on the so-called Greater Idlib region, last month. The terrorists in the region are violating the recent ceasefire on a daily basis.
The rapidly deteriorating situation in Greater Idlib could force the SAA and its allies to launch a new ground operation in the region.
