On the night of January 18, the Russian military launched new wave of strikes on the Ukrainian military facilities, including in the Western regions. Russian strikes were reported at the notorious Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region. Another missile attack destroyed military targets in the Kharkiv region, while large explosions thundered in the Kherson, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
According to the Ukrainian military officials, Russia launched 33 strike UAVs on Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian air defense forces allegedly intercepted 22 of them. The Ukrainian military also confirmed missile strikes in the Kharkiv region, where the Russian military reportedly used S-300 missiles upgraded to hit ground targets. The officials confirmed that at least one building was hit in Chuguev in the Kharkiv region.
Russian strikes in Chuguev were also confirmed by unofficial sources. The targets were reportedly the points of deployment of the Ukrainian military personnel and their military equipment.
Another target of the night attack was the military airfield in Starokonstantinov in the Khmelnitsky region. This was at least the 5th attack on the facility since the beginning of the year. The airfield iis one of the most targeted military facilities in Ukraine because it was built in the Soviet times in order to serve as a large military base. That’s why there are large fortification, including underground facilities, and all necessary infrastructure to continue military operations despite the enemy bombings. This is one of the airfields where the NATO aircraft could be deployed, if they are ever supplied to Ukraine. The Ukrainian military is working hard to restore the damaged facilities there, including the runway, between the constant Russian strikes.
Russian drones reportedly attacked Ukrainian military facilities in the village of Snigirevka, which is an important logistic hub of Ukrainian forces in the Kherson region.
More strikes were reported in the area of Pavlograd in the Dnepropetrovsk region. This city is located on the Dnepropetrovsk-Donetsk highway. There is also a strategically important railway. That’s why the city is used by the Ukrainian troops to transfer personnel and military equipment to the frontlines in the DPR.
At night, Russian drones trikes were reported in the Sumy regions, where more explosions thundered in the area of the attack. This could be a secondary detonation of the destroyed military equipment.
On the morning of January 18, air alert sounded almost simultaneously in all regions of Ukraine. This means that Russian strategic bombers took off in the rear airfields, likely to launch new wave of strikes on the Ukrainian military infrastructure.

kurill islands never belonged to japan originally. they belonged to the ainu people that japan committed genocide against. now there are only around 30,000 of these people left. before japans incursions there were over half a million ainu people and russians since the 1600s always treated the ainu like human beings and traded with them while the japanese treated them as subhumans.
even to this day the few ainu left in japan are discriminated against. if a japanese finds out you are ainu then you are treated with contempt like third class citizens may get kicked out of housing and out of their job. many live in poverty as a result or hide who they are. they literally did nothing to deserve this hatred they simply existed speaking a different language and had a different cultural than the japanese. that’s basically enough to be labeled as inferior.
this explains why the japanese joined the nazis during ww2. birds of a feather flock together. then after being defeated they tried to create a cute anime culture to mask their genocidal tendencies. but behind closed doors there is still a lot of dark crap in the average japanese psyche and their actions behind the polite politically correct facade are less than reprehensible. nowadays japan as a society is heavily declining population wise, morally and economically and that’s probably karma.
i think what the nazis and the japs had/have in common is a pronounced sado-masochist streak in their culture that coexists with (and complements) a devotion to order, discipline, efficiency and precision. that is how you finish up with a modern war machine driven by genocidal lunatics. btw those tendencies exist in many countries that call themselves civilised; a flaw in human nature.
