Impotent to break through Russian defences on the frontlines, the Ukrainian military continues attempts to attack Russian rear with drones on a daily basis.
On the night of August 22, Russian air defence forces intercepted two Ukrainian strike UAVs in the Moscow region. One drone fell in the area of Krasnogorsk. As a result of the attack, facade of a residential building was slightly damaged, as well as several cars parked nearby. The explosion reportedly thundered near the building of the government of the Moscow region.
Wreckage of the second UAV was shot down in the area of Chastsy in the Odyntsovo district. The main temple of the Ministry of Defense of Russia is located nearby.
On the morning, the destruction of two more Ukrainian UAVs was also reported by the Russian Defense Ministry in the Bryansk region. They were suppressed by means of electronic warfare. The attacks resulted in no damage or victims.
On the evening of August 21, two Ukrainian UAVs targeted Crimea. They were also suppressed by Russian electronic warfare and crashed over the Black Sea 40 km northwest of the peninsula.
Ukrainian drone attacks are ongoing on a daily basis. LINK On August 21, at least six drone attacks were thwarted, including in the Moscow and Belgorod regions. One of Ukrainian UAVs dropped “fragmentation ammunition for a grenade launcher” in the village of Novostroevka-Vtoraya. As a result, a civilian car was damaged.
