Newly Leaked Documents Reveal Network Of SBU Agents In Donbass

The Ukrainian security services continue to provide Russian forces with all the necessary information about the Ukrainian secret activities against the pro-Russian population of the Donbass region.

Another batch of secret documents of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) left by the staff of the SBU in the city of Mariupol. This is already the third batch of documents shared online by Russian sources.

The newly leaked documents revealed the entire network of secret SBU agents who operated in the war-torn Donbass region years before the Russian military entered the military conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian agents have been carrying out various operations against the DPR authorities, Russia as well as employees of the OSCE, UN and even Western countries.

The fact that the SBU officers did not care to keep the data of their agents шт secret confirms the extremely contemptuous attitude towards еру people who worked and risked in the interests of the Ukrainian special services.

As a result, the SBU officers simply left the secret information when fleeing from the city, putting the extremely importants data in the hands of Russian intelligence officers.

As of June 2017, 4 recruitments of agents of the Security Service of Ukraine were carried out by the Pokrovske PD, namely:

“Footballer” (c.f. № 2091 of 15.05.17), is in contact with the senior operative of the 1st sector, Major Dudnik A.B., is used for the priority “counterintelligence support of the Armed Forces and other military formations of Ukraine, prevention of leakage from military facilities into illicit trafficking of destruction means, prevention of their getting to terrorist organizations and criminal environment, assistance to the command of military formations in maintaining combat and mobilization readiness of troops”;

Pursuant to the instruction of the leadership of the Novoazovsk Military Intelligence Directorate, an analysis of the existing intelligence apparatus used in the line of counterintelligence and the effectiveness of the use of sources in accordance with the trends in the development of the operational situation in the operational support area was carried out.

Thus, at present, the operational situation in the territory of operational support is quite tense. Among the factors influencing its development are the following:

representatives of the so-called DPR occupied 11 administrative units of Novoazovsk district;
conducting an anti-terrorist operation in the region;
the presence of a land and sea border with the Russian Federation;
deployment on the territory of operational support of military units and subdivisions (Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service, National Guard, volunteer battalions, etc.) and shelling of their positions from the temporarily occupied territories of Novoazovsk district;
constant provocations by militants, who may also act under the guise of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
unstable social and economic situation

In particular, the vast majority of the population (65-70%) are pro-Russian and sympathize with the representatives of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, which is caused by distrust of the central government, certain propaganda through the Russian media, unfavorable socio-political situation in the region and the country as a whole.

It should be noted that the development of the operational situation in the region is under constant influence of factors caused, first of all, by the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in all areas of relations with Ukraine (from cultural and economic to military presence in the eastern regions). The ongoing process of occupation of the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has led to the formation in these regions of a stable sphere of influence of the Russian Federation, which the neighboring state is trying to spread to the entire south-eastern part of our country, using representatives of the authorities and governance, searching for conductors of its ideas among local pro-Russian activists, while trying in every possible way to destabilize the situation in the region, creating the basis for a social impetus for radical actions to change the current state system.
By the ongoing armed conflict, Russian special services are trying to weaken the defense capability and economic independence of the south-eastern regions of Ukraine, to provoke socio-political processes aimed at undermining the territorial integrity of the state. These factors entail the growth of social tension in the territory of the counter-intelligence unit, intensification of the activity of the whole spectrum, public and national-cultural associations, through which the special services of foreign states are trying to lobby their interests, to use ideological contradictions in society. Influential persons and representatives of the authorities are of interest to the Russian special services in terms of lobbying pro-Russian interests, creating grounds for “undermining” the situation and discrediting the current system, the ultimate goal of which is to incite and support separatist sentiments.

In the territory of operational support there are 12 agents, 15 proxies and 11 PMCs, which, given the current situation in the country, are actively used in priority areas. The existing agent apparatus, taking into account operational capabilities, personal and business qualities, is able to perform the tasks assigned to the Security Service of Ukraine. An effective mechanism for obtaining up-to-date information on events and trends in the temporarily occupied territory and counterintelligence regime in the territory of the part of Novoazovsk district controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been created.

At the same time, dynamic processes that constantly affect the operational situation require increasing and improving the agent apparatus for work in the temporarily occupied territory. The selection and careful study of persons capable of performing the tasks of the SBU bodies in the environment of illegal armed groups of the so-called DPR, employees of the so-called MGB of the DPR and the occupation units of the Russian Armed Forces, including for conducting the ATO in the temporarily occupied territory, is constantly carried out.

According to the results of the analysis, the distribution of the existing intelligence apparatus according to the priority tasks set for 2017 in the field of counterintelligence (SBU Order No. 006 of 30.12.2016) was established:
