On Saturday, the Defense Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) announced about 25 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces during the night, the RIA Novosti news agency reported on August 6.
“On the night of 5 to 6 August, the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire regime 25 times on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line and carried out more than 330 shots with light weapons of various caliber in the direction of Armenian positions,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry noted that the leading echelons of the NKR Defense Army mostly refrained from response actions and resorted to countermeasures only in a case of emergency.
