North Korea Calls On US To Give Up Dreams That It Will Abandon Nuclear Program

© Korean Central News Agency/Korea News Service via AP

The United States should give up “dreams” that North Korea will stop its nuclear weaposn program, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday. The ministry also claimed that North Korea is going to establish “the balace of force” with the United States to counter its “nuclear threats.”

“We will further consolidate our self-defensive nuclear deterrence aimed at eradicating the US nuclear threats and establishing the balance of force with it,” the ministry said in a statement quoted by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

The ministry emphasized that the country develops nuclear weapons to protect the sovereignty and people’s lives against “the blackmail of American imperialists.”

“The US should not forget that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has rapidly emerged as a strategic state capable of posing a substantial nuclear threat to the US mainland,”  the statement reads. “If the US wants to live in safety, it needs to stop its hostile policy against the DPRK [North Korea]. It should also give up dreams that we will abandon our nuclear weapons.

The ministry added that the latest round of UN sanctions, aimed against its remaining imports and exports, is an “act of war.”

We define this ‘sanctions resolution’ rigged up by the US and its followers as a grave infringement upon the sovereignty of our Republic, as an act of war violating peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and the region and categorically reject the resolution,” the statement reads.

On December 22, the UN Security Council unanimously imposed new sanctions on North Korea following its ballistic missile test that took place on November 29. The latest round of sannctions further slashed its refined petroleum product imports and banned all remaining major exports. Moreover, the sanctions demand the repatriation of all North Koreans working abroad within 24 months.

Logical thinking.

USA has constantly threatened to nuke the DPRK since the end of the war. It’s no wonder they develop their own deterrence. It works.

Icarus Tanović

It does.

When it comes with the US policy on WMD’s it’s very obviously, because we have seen similar scenario but with different outcomes. Remember IRAQ and so called WMD program, did you ever wonder why did the US enter Iraq/Invade…..Anyone, with rational explanation?…Well that explanation is that Iraq never had any WMD’s and the US knew that with 100% certainty and that’s why they Invade Iraq, if they knew that even 1 WMD was in Iraq with Saddam Hussein, they will never go in and risk their whole army been dusted on pieces… You see the Irony, that’s why they invade because it was whole chaos and no WMD’s. But when it comes to North Korea, well my friends the US has its balls frozen there. They knew that there is WMD’s there, they maybe knew few locations of them, but many are been hidden away especially for that Army that want’s to invade, so the US will never invade the North Korea as long they have WMD in their hands. Cuz they will use it, and North Korea is not Iraq, they have a lot of Army,Tanks, Artillery,Air Defense and so long, so by some level N.Korea is good modern army, I said to some level, and for the US that’s is a big challenge and they can’t just bark in there, that’s not another Iraq, just people with AK-47’s and few RPG’s in their hands and bomb the hell out of them from above…So that is why the US and it’s allies can’t go into North Korea, I mean they can but they will go in full war with them, and on the end China will back the North Korea anyway. So USA can bark as long as it want’s, the barking dog never bites…So you see there is no room for war there, except one thing and that is if by many provocations of the US side the N. Korea starts a war, which i don’t believe they will start first , but they are under big pressure, sanctions , exercises on borders, many provocative actions from the US side. But the US can do just that nothing more.

@World Eye; u r rewriting World History.

And more obvious is.. after 9/11why did they invaded Afghanistan instead of Saudi barbaria..?? Until now I still can’t figure it out..!

Icarus Tanović

That’s right. Why they didn’t invaded Saudi barbaria after all those terrorists who did that were Saudi citizens.

NK Saber rattling, followed by US Sanctions. Rinse and repeat. It’s been the same BS for decades. NK used to draw lines in the sand threatening all-out war if US and SK performed military drills. Remember that? And it would work some times. Now Trump, being the hot head he is, is doing those drills. Exercises on borders and sanctions. Everything is an act of war to NK. And……? Nothing. As you say, the barking dog (NK) isn’t going to bite. The US needs to keep their strategy of basically ignoring the BS that comes out of that dark hole. Simple. Then no one dies.

Icarus Tanović

Obviously that ‘shit hole’ is making a lot of headaches to American imperialistic administration. Why don’t they sanction Israel who have 200 nuclear warheads? Sanction them, and order them to go back to Israel after 24 months? This american blabbing I’m listening, not sure how much, but definitely for decades. Same stuff for Cuba. One thing to remember. North Koreans will never back off, got that? Hopefully your government does.

GRAHL

I repeat, It’s the SAME shit that’s been going on for decades. Saber rattling. NK won’t back off? Of course not. EVERYONE knows this. And why should they? Keep barking from the dark hole. More sanctions on the way.

Icarus Tanović

No, Americans are barking, but doesn’t have hugging steel balls to bite a bait. Sanctions won’t help.

GRAHL

Not sure what “hugging steel balls” means, but I’m sure we agree. No one is going to bite NK’s “bait” as you say. No need to. Leave them alone. Just like I said on my first post. Status quo like the last 50 years. Then no war. Hey Icarus, hope you’re enjoying your Christmas with family. Time for me to move along.

It would be great if Syria could deliver a huge quantity of the same they captured from the US Proxy’s to Donetsk and Lugansk Defense Forces in order to giving them the same sauce to dip !

This is what I posted at Global Times a couple days ago. North’s nuclear issue is just a pretext for the US to contain China:

For instance, Mr. Abe suddenly dissolved the Lower House on Sep. 28 with no clear reasons for a snap election on Oct. 22. Did he know its schedule overlaps that of the 19th CPC national congress? Did he know the massive military drill off Korean peninsula led by the US starting from October 17 was to make a precious mess of the national congress with Mr. Xi’s nomination on October 18?

I thought someone would use Philippines around Scarborough shoal or somewhere to dredge up the UNCLOS arbitration because I noticed the sway of Mr. Duterte’s diplomatic stance for the US through their surprising mutual military cooperation for the battle of Marawi. I was afraid that someone would shoot down a Japanese fighter jet as we saw in Syria where Su-24 bomber was shot down by Turkish F-16 to blame Russia for unverifiable airspace incursion happened in November, 2015.

To be honest, as I realized this war strategy only on October 14, I prayed for the huge typhoon originated off Philippines to take the course to cover SCS and ECS. And it did.

I don’t think Mr. Abe knew this kind of game plan someone had made.(Quote ends)

You people know that three carrier strikes groups, NImitz, Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan were there in South China sea and East China sea at that time.

Serious

That’s what every sensible nation should do.

RichardD

After the US led genocide against N Korean during the Korean war, blockage of a peace treaty and reconciliation, and perpetual regime change menacing and machinations. It shouldn’t be surprising that N Korea has developed a defensive nuclear deterrent. The solution to the problem is for the US to stop war mongering and blocking a peace treaty and reconciliation between the Koreans.

Langaniso Mhlobo

The sanction agenda of USA and puppets are clear box in all North Koreans and starve them to death.Which international fake law force people to leave their job for income and go back to your country and die sitting around.

USA dollar European Union has collapsed that is why USA/Nato want illegal out of desperation war due to the situation.

North Korea keep on making Weapons of Mass suppression against USA/NATO. Never trust Trumps spokespersons of Russia and China. This two countries Presidents are handcuffed by Trump and Stoltenberg.

Langaniso Mhlobo

As long as there is only 5 Vito power permanent members of UN Security councils oppression human suffering and wars will never end.Their blackmail its other for their personal interest and play a role of representing other countries without their will.

North Korea situation is clear oppression and Racist. Why should North Koreans force to go back to their native country. Why is USA which kill millions of people around the world not being send back. Why are USA and UN interested in North Korean defectors.Obvious just to get information after inbox and suppression.

Allow North North Koreans to move and live freely around the will.Their don’t want USA supremacists fake democracy. Get out USA and puppets Russia and China out North Koreans paths of own survival. Let them go back and finished off their project which their finish off halve.

Don’t Oppress North Koreans on oil,Gas and other human necessity which their dont have.Let them buy from willing sellers as the same USA,UN EU proposed when white farms and property is confiscated by blacks. No peace will prevail on this earth as long as puppet China,South Korea,Japan and Russia support their Master USA killing whites.

The Book of Revelation warns: “And another horse, fiery red, came out, and the one who rode it was granted permission to take peace from the earth, so that people would butcher one another, and he was given a huge sword.” (6:4)

Jesus warns: “Terrors [φοβητρα] both [τε] and [και] unusual phenomena [σημεια] from [απ] heaven [ουρανου] powerful [μεγαλα] will be [εσται].” (Luke 21:11) Some ancient manuscripts add the words “and frosts [και χειμωνες].”

“A great sword”, “terrifying things and mighty unusual occurrences from heaven”. This will cause climate change and famine. (cf. Revelation 6:5, 6) What does all this mean?

Nuclear global war is inevitable, like death, but not yet and not because of Korea. When and how will this happen? Let me remind here a fragment of an ancient vision: “And [the king of the north] will go back (to) his land with great wealth [1945. This detail indicated that Hitler will attack also the Soviet Union and will fight to the bitter end]; and his heart (will be) against the holy covenant [Soviet Union introduced state atheism and believers were repressed]; and will act [it means activity in the international arena]; and turned back to his own land [1991-1993. The collapse of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. Russian troops returned to their country]. At the appointed time [he] will return back [it also means the breakup of the European Union and NATO], and will enter into the south [this can be Georgia], but it will not be as the former [2008 – Georgia] or as the latter [Ukraine], for the dwellers of coastlands of Kittim [USA, in the beginning without Britain] will come against him, and he will be dejected, and will go back.” (Daniel 11:28-30a)

What will induce the “king of the north” to enter into the south? Jesus said: “For nation will rise against nation”, as in 2008 in Georgia, and then…

Moses writes: “And ships from the direction of Kittim [US Navy], and will afflict Asshur [Russia] and will afflict Eber [remaining enemies, including Iran and China].” (Numbers 24:24a) It will be suicidal mission. This armada will not return home. (Numbers 24:24b)

This will be a slaughter. However, it will not be Armageddon. As Jesus foretold, it will be “the beginning of birth pains”. (Matthew 24:7, 8)

In 1882 British troops occupied Egypt. Great Britain then took the role of “the king of the south”. Around the same time, Russia expanded its influence in the region, which previously belonged to Seleucus I Nicator, and took the role of “the king of the north”. (Daniel 11:27)

All the details of this vision are being fulfilled from the time of ancient Persia, in chronological order. It is true that this vision is variously interpreted. As one can see, it has a lot of details. Therefore the insightful person is able to detect any error or sophistry. (Daniel 11:33; 12:10)

north korea is world’s only chance to roll back nuke weapons — last come, first go. it we dont do the roll back now, iran will be the next, and the rest the world to follow. here’s some inside infos on nuke:

“”””What Americans Really Think about Using Nuclear Weapons and Killing Noncombatants

https://www.mitpressjournals.org/doi/pdf/10.1162/ISEC_a_00284?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=New+Campaign&utm_term=*Situation+Report& 23 percent said the United States should have “wiped out [all Japanese] cities” The main conclusions of these survey experiments are clear. The majority of the U.S. public has not internalized either a belief in the nuclear taboo or a strong noncombatant immunity norm. When faced with realistic scenarios in which they are forced to contemplate a trade-off between sacriªcing a large number of U.S. troops in combat or deliberately killing even larger numbers of foreign noncombatants, the majority of respondents approve of killing civilians in an effort to end the war. Protecting the lives of U.S. troops was a higher priority than preventing the use of a nuclear weapon or avoiding the largescale conventional bombing of an Iranian city.55 In the ªnal analysis, our survey experiments cannot tell us how future U.S. presidents and their top advisers would weigh their options if they found themselves in a conºict in which they faced a trade-off between risking largescale U.S. military fatalities and killing large numbers of foreign noncombatants. Nevertheless, these surveys do tell us something unsettling about the instincts of the U.S. public concerning nuclear weapons and noncombatant immunity. When provoked, and in conditions where saving U.S. soldiers is at stake, the majority of Americans do not consider the ªrst use of nuclear weapons a taboo, and their commitment to noncombatant immunity in wartime is shallow. Instead, a majority of Americans prioritize winning the war quickly and saving the lives of U.S. soldiers, even if that means killing large numbers

Past surveys that show a very substantial decline in U.S. public support for the 1945 dropping of the atomic bombs are a misleading guide to how the public would react if placed in similar wartime circumstances in the future. It is fortunate that the United States has not faced wartime conditions in the nuclear era in which U.S. political leaders and the public had to contemplate such grave trade-offs.98 Today, as in 1945, the U.S. public is unlikely to serve as a serious constraint on any president who might consider using nuclear weapons in the crucible of war.”””

and my comments: 1. trust me as a former nuke prof with ucberkeley, it’s easy to make an abomb. the world is blessed with the fact that most countries have not wanted to have one, yet. 2. christians r the true dangers regarding nuke. the full xtian squad that dropped the abombs on live humans has celebrate the event every year ever since. 3. with the coming of the undefensible chinese nuke head missile, eastwind 41, which can cover the whole u.s.a. americans should have a thorough survey on whether the voters prefer: a civil war or the eastwind 41 missiles, in the coming 2020 election. 4. someone needs to research out that whether 2 nuke cannons were used by america/taiwan in the taiwan strait war during the late 52, during which time both eisenhowere and nixon called the use of nuke weapons on a front page of a californian paper. 5. all in all, at least 5 times america has used or planned to use nuke weapons — the world is not safe!
