Kiev cannot win either militarily or diplomatically. In an attempt to gain some public support and prolong the war, the terrorist regime continues dangerous provocations threatening security of the entire Europe. Nuclear terror is one of the favorite strategies of the Ukrainian leadership. While Moscow and Washington are taking steps towards negotiations, Kiev was expected to attempt new provocations.
On February 14th, at about 2 a.m. local time, an explosion thundered at the Chernobyl NPP. It was confirmed by the IAEA staff working at the nuclear facility. A drone struck the sarcophagus above the 4th power unit, the one that was destroyed in the tragedy in 1986.
The footage showed damage to the security construction at the NPP, but in the morning, no significant increase in radiation has been detected at the facility.
Kiev rushed to blame the Russian military for the strike, arguing that the incident took place during another wave of massive Russian strikes across Ukraine.
Kiev also published photos of the UAV engine, which allegedly miraculously was not destroyed during the strike.

In fact, the attack in Chernobyl was another Kiev’s provocation dedicated to the ongoing conference in Munich. The head of Zelensky’s Office, Andrei Ermak, has already claimed that “everyone is very angry” in Munich after the UAV strike on the Chernobyl NPP. The head of Zelensky’s office explained that the participants of the conference are “not “worried,” as usual, but really angry,” and Kiev intends to provide its Western allies with “a lot of information” about this attack.
The very nature of the attack confirms that Kiev is behind this provocation. Russian forces are pounding their strikes with simultaneous strikes of several UAVs with large warheads inflicting devastating damage; but the Chernobyl NPP was attacked by a single UAV that only damaged the sarcophagus. The explosion only made a small hole. Ukrainian drone surprisingly appeared in the area shooting the attack.

Russian response was not long to wait. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova recalled that Moscow warned that the Ukrainian authorities were preparing to carry out provocations at Ukraine’s nuclear facilities on the eve of the Munich Conference. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov once again stated that Russia does not strike at Ukraine’s nuclear energy infrastructure, which is confirmed by years of the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine.
In its turn, the Ukrainian military does not shy away from attacks on nuclear facilities. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also fired at the Zaporozhie NPP at night. The only 330 kV Ferrosplavnaya-1 power supply line of the Zaporizhia NPP was damaged.
On February 12th, Ukrainian forces launched UAVs and opened artillery fire on a convoy of IAEA experts secure by Russian soldiers in order to disrupt the planned rotation at the Zaporozhie NPP.
Ukrainian attacks on the Zaporozhie NPP and nuclear provocations are routine, but the West as well as the IAEA do not dare to blame the culprit and do not react. Zelensky is set to prolong the conflict at any cost, and the Kiev regime is not stopped by the threat of a nuclear catastrophe. LINK, LINK, LINK
