According to a new report, the number of the British, leaving the country to join the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group and other extremist groups in the Middle East, is increasing.

As the Guardian newspaper reported, the 850 British have gone to fight on the side of the IS or other terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria. As the UK police said, more than 50 of them are women. According to the British government, in January, this figure was about 800 people. The Guardian claims that about 100 of them have been killed. About half of the remaining 750 British have returned to the UK, while another half is still staying in Iraq and Syria.

The government has stopped hundreds of others, before they left the UK or when they were on Turkey’s territory, which is the main access route to Syria and Iraq for future terrorists. According to the report, the most part of these people have been under the age of 30 years.

As terrorists, who fled the IS, said, many of the foreign recruits should be treated as disposable members of the group. According to them, the Islamic State is mainly consists of former members of the Iraqi army and extreme and experienced militants from the Middle East, and foreign recruits, usually, have little or no military experience.

Some of the British, who has joined to the terrorist group and have computer skills, are doing high-profile propaganda jobs.

The total number of foreigners from different countries, who are fighting on the side of the Islamic State and other terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq, is estimated at 27,000-31,000 people.

What does make people to join the IS? Greed for gain, religious fanaticism or the high-grade propaganda of the terrorists? We can only guess about this.

We all know the British are strong supporters of ‘Assad must go’s and Uncle Sam’s terrorist army (while pretending to fight terrorism). What we didn’t know is that they were recruiting for ISIS.
