On February 24, former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told a local TV station that the administration of ex-US President Barack Obama had played a key role in the creation of ISIS and allowed the terrorist group to occupy Iraqi territories.
Maliki served as prime minister between 2006 and 2014. He said that the US had provided Iraq with intelligence and aerial images, locating with great precision positions of ISIS terrorists, who had lined up behind Iraqi borders in Syria.
According to the Iraqi politician, large groups of ISIS members were waiting to cross into Iraq after what they believed was going to be the impending downfall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Maliki added that back then his country had shortage of fighter jets capable of attacking ISIS positions and attack helicopters did not have the range to eliminate them.
In this situation, the Iraqi government asked the US for assistance and delivery of “one or two” fighter jets to the Iraqi Air Force under the 2008 security agreement between the two countries. However, Washington rejected this request.
Maliki continued by saying that the Iraqi Army’s 7th Division was sent to combat the terrorists without air support and even achieved some progress before being eliminated. Furthermore, the ex-prime minister pointed out that Washington had halted all supplies of helicopter parts and other military equipment to Iraq and stopped its obligations under a contract to sell F-16 attack aircraft to Iraq, which had paid for them in advance.
Since when common knowledge among the thinking humans are news, or need to be proven over and over again ?
since war became peace
Magnus, I’ll see your Orwell and raise you 1,000 Machiavelli’s!
Evidence. Man, evidence. Not that our war criminal ‘deciders’ will ever face the world for their bloody crimes. Perhaps the history books might tell the truth?
why r u going to take them to court ? get serious and evidence r there for all to see who are able for more than 2 seconds thinking span. I am certain your thinking span is much higher than that judging from your posts.
Isn’t this guy who was prime minister of Iraq when ISIS invaded and whose army folded quicker then wet paper towels? who ran the country into the ground by increasing the Shia/Sunni sectarian divide making the Sunnis actually welcome ISIS? I’d treat anything this guy says as suspect as I assume his trying to make his record in office look better by shifting blame.
Maybe its true what he’s saying, but lets keep in mind he has ulterior motives. He left office in disgrace and if he wants to stand a new shot at becoming PM again he needs to shift blame and make himself look spotless.
There is much more to the story – after little initial success in Syria around 2012, early ISIS was suddenly very successful in Iraq, when it became an alliance of ex-Iraqi military officers, for strategic capacity, and Sunni jihadists, for tactical cannon fodder. How they came together is the real story. Those unemployed ex-officers were largely involved for a payout – to loot under conflict conditions. The entire Iraqi officer corps was arbitrarily sacked after US invasion of Iraq, whilst the original Sunni jihadist cadre of ISIS – formerly al Queida in Iraq – were Sunni insurgents against US forces in middle to late 2000’s. What did both groups have in common, they had interactions with US occupation forces and intelligence – both were subject to arrest and interrogation in US detention centres. What actually happens in that sort of high intensity interrogation environment – CIA intelligence connections are created – both with those willing to cooperate for own agenda and those foolish enough to get played.
This is a very true piece of information you have just stated and even quite a few stories have circulated online for many years now stating all of these facts, it’s a big piece of how ISIS was created.
check the connection of GLADIO-BlackWater-isis and you have the root of the problem.
The US administrations are the enemies of all people groups. https://dailystormer.name/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/20130317094727_2.jpg
All that is already well descriebed.
