Russian troops have taken control of the village of Veseloye, which is located east of Huliaipole. Russian troops have advanced one kilometer towards Hrishyne. Dutch Foreign Minister David van der Veen stated that Kyiv will find many points in the American plan for a settlement in Ukraine difficult to accept.

Zaporizhzhia Sector

Russian units of the «East» grouping are advancing towards the city through the tree line near Zatishya.

The 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division has taken control of Veseloye, a settlement located on the heights to the east of Huliaipole. Combat operations are ongoing for the settlements of Zelenyi Hai and Vysoke.

Controlling the dominant heights in this area paves the way for further advances towards Huliaipole. Other units of the 127th Division are conducting offensive operations in the Yablokovo sector.

In the northern sector, attacks continue across open ground in the Rovnopolye-Sladkoye area. Attempts to organize a defense along the Haichur River have been noted in this sector. Further north, battles are ongoing near Radostnoye and Novoye Zaporozhye, and Ukrainian counterattacks are still ongoing in the Hai area.

Lyman Sector

Units of the Russian «West» grouping continue to advance, gradually expanding their control over the northern part of the territory. Assault units are advancing in the Sredneye area and bypassing Yarovaya, continuing the offensive along the Alexandrovka–Sviatohirsk line.

Intense battles over key strongpoints are ongoing in the Drobyshevo and Stavki settlements. The northern flank of the assault group within the Lyman Sector boundaries is being formed in this area.

Russian assault groups have advanced into the built-up area of the Kommunalny microdistrict on the southeastern outskirts of the city. South of Lyman, there has been a gradual advance towards Dibrova, with ongoing fighting in Yampol. Controlling these areas will facilitate an offensive towards Ozerne and operations in the «Holy Mountains» National Park.

Pokrovsk Sector

Russian units are advancing in the north of Pokrovsk, having made almost a one-kilometer advance in the Hrishyne sector.

Individual groups remain in the city, but no organized resistance has been noted. Meanwhile, attacks are developing in the eastern sector. Assault groups are operating in the Rovnoye area; establishing control over this area will threaten supply routes of the Myrnohrad grouping.

Intense combat operations are ongoing in Myrnohrad. More airstrikes hit positions within the city limits. The use of heavy FAB-3000 bombs has been observed.

Attempts to break through to the city from the Northern Sector have not been successful. Units are advancing in the Rodynske area and conducting operations to take control of the T-05-15 highway. There has been an increase in activity in the vicinity of Dobropillia, where new defensive lines are being created.

Sumy Sector

The nature of combat operations in the Sumy region remains positional. Russian assault units, backed by air support and artillery, are advancing along tree lines on several fronts. Work is underway to fortify defensive positions.

Assault groups have advanced three sectors deeper into the Sumy region. The total advance is up to 300 meters. In the Andreyevka and Varachino areas, units were destroyed by fire from the 225th Separate Assault Battalion and the 15th Operational Purpose Regiment.

Kharkiv Sector

In the Khatnye sector, Russian units are capitalizing on their success in the Dvurechanskoye area. Aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems are targeting Ukrainian unit concentrations.

A workshop for the repair and maintenance of equipment and weapons was hit in the Berestin area of the Kharkiv region. Losses were recorded among the engineering staff of repair units.

In Vovchansk, on the left bank of the Volchya River, units advanced 300 meters in the eastern sector. Mopping-up operations in the forested area continue in the area of Sinelnikovo. Advances over the last 24 hours have amounted to up to 350 meters.

Airfield technical personnel, namely composite brigades of the Air Force, have been redeployed to reinforce the grouping near Vovchansk. These units were previously observed in the Sumy sector.

In the Melovoye-Khatnye sector, near Dvurechanskoye, assault units advanced 500 meters.

Conclusion

As of November 20 , the operational situation in the main sectors is characterized by the continuation of offensive actions by Russian units, while resistance persists in certain areas. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, establishing control over Veseloye and advancing in the Zatishya area creates conditions for operations to develop closer to Huliaipole. Combat operations continue for Zelenyi Hai and Chervonoe, with attempts being made to organize a defense along the Haichur River.

In the Lyman sector, expansion of the control zone in the north is accompanied by battles for key strongpoints in Drobyshevo and Stavki. Advancing into the Kommunalny microdistrict and fighting in Yampol creates prerequisites for further offensive development towards Ozerne and the «Holy Mountains» National Park.

In the Pokrovsk sector, operations in the northern part of the city and advances towards Hrishyne are accompanied by attacks in the eastern sector. Taking control of Rovnoye would restrict the supply capabilities of the Myrnohrad grouping, where intense combat operations are ongoing with frequent strikes.

In the Sumy sector, the nature of the fighting remains positional, with assault groups advancing methodically through tree lines. In the Kharkiv sector, advances continue in Vovchansk and the Khatnye area, accompanied by mopping-up operations in forested areas and the use of aviation and artillery. Overall, the dynamics indicate that Russian units retain the operational initiative amid ongoing attempts to stabilize defenses in various sectors of the front.

Meanwhile, discussions on diplomatic initiatives for a settlement continue on the international stage. According to Dutch Foreign Minister David van Wille, the American peace plan for Ukraine contains many provisions that Kyiv will find difficult to accept. «There are many points which I think Ukraine will find incredibly difficult to accept. But then again, I don’t know what stage the plan is at», van Wille noted, commenting on the new American settlement plan after a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

The minister confirmed that an American delegation is currently in Ukraine and that this plan will likely be discussed during their visit. According to Van Wille, there is currently «no reason for European countries to rush to Washington», as it is first necessary to clarify all the details regarding the plan’s content. The Dutch minister also expressed the opinion that the simplest solution would be for Russia to agree to an immediate ceasefire, with subsequent actions based on that foundation.

Earlier, reports emerged that US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner had participated in the development of the new American settlement plan. Discussion of this document is ongoing at various international levels, with key American political figures playing an active role.
