On May 12, one of the targets of the Russian missile strikes was the city of Kremenchug in the Poltava region.

According to the head of the region Dmitry Lunin, 12 Russian missiles hit the infrastructure in the city of Kremenchug. One missile was intercepted by the Ukrainian air defence system.

The missiles hit the local oil refinery. No casualties were reported. No one was injured.

Another missile reportedly hit the local railway substation.

The oil refinery in Kremenchug was already hit by Russian missiles. According to the Kiev’s officials, the facility was “completely destroyed” last week. However, according to local reports, the work on the oil refinery was partially restored. It is of strategic importance as it is used to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AF) in the East of Ukraine.

The oil refineries, as well as railway substations, all around Ukraine are shelled by the Russian missiles on a daily basis. The AFU in the Donbass as well as civilians suffer the lack of fuel supplies in the whole country. The claims of the local authorities that the oil refinery was destroyed days ago are another attempt to protect it from the Russian strikes.

Russia

One questions about the success of this strike if refinery already resumed working. And mentioning Ukrainian air defense. Why Russia doesn’t establish an air superiority over Ukraine? We have heard that it has been established a few days into this operation, meaning there shouldn’t be any significant air defense left, but seems this isn’t so. Russia should destroy all strategic targets in Ukraine to hamper the enemy’s ability to wage wat, but we have mostly seen some quite insignificant strikes here and there, which is not enough. It starts looking the conflict is staged so the Western world has the excuses to boost its military industry and rob its own citizens due to the prices skyrocketing.

They destroyed the ones that were there at the start, over time probably more AA systems were brought in from NATO, that’s why all the sudden they manage to intercept a missile or two while in the first month or two they couldn’t.

It’s vitally important to take down all Ukrainian Nazi infrastructure. At times its felt like a half hearted approach by Russia. However, there really is no excuse for not taking all infrastructure out – so water, electricity, gas, fuel, transport infrastructure…. is not functional. The whole Ukrainian Nazi nation has to be broken completely, so it can be rebuilt. Half measures are not going to achieve that!

This is aimed at the Ukrainian regime not at the Ukrainian people. You start destroying civil infrastructure on a big scale and you will loose. Don’t underestimate the social component. You terrorize people like that and they will eventually terrorize you. You defeat the military, people will not rise against you. Most people really just want to live in peace. They don’t mind who is in charge as long as they have peace.

I totally agree with you. Fuel is fair game though, as that will tear apart the Junta very quickly and make life better for everyone in a short amount of time. Transportation of food goods and essentials should be fine. These freightliners from abroad have a good range into Ukaine, and can from Poland, Transnistria, or Romania, or Donbass make round trips deep into Ukraine. Any areas not covered are short distances easily patched up with Jerry cans of gas, horses, donkeys, electric cars, bike trailers, etc.

Too bad they still have enough fuel to push the russkies back in the kharkiv region and bomb civilians. Bummer.

Russia’s big problem in Ukraine is that the airspace is closed for its heavy bombers, so it can only attack with expensive missiles that tickle large military bases and airports, refineries and transport infrastructure, which are quickly fixed and working again. And that has no possible solution for Russia, it can lose the war for that reason, unless it uses unconventional missiles for these demolition functions.

Oh well you know they’ve basically cut off the oil rich nations pretending climate change means everyone has to go electric So they can own all the electricity companies and so be the King of the Castle. Bye bye house if Saud, Iran Russia etcetera. Down the historic drain as the Pilgrims of science progress to win their Way.

as I read this article, it was made to sound as if the Russians take the word of the ukies regarding what is destroyed and what isn’t… trust me, the Russians use whatever is at their disposal to assess damage, and re-strike as necessary

Of course, you keep them busy like that. It is a simple strategy to use just about as much force as needed. People are not the target here. It is the infrastructure that is being used for military purposes.

well said

it would be hilarious if the ukies just got the refinery on ;line, and 10 minutes later the Russians struck… take that you nazi biatches

I know that Russia prefers to save the civil infrastructure in the parts of the Ukraine they wish to liberate. However, why not start making the Bandera western Ukrainians’ lives harder, especially since Ukraine has already attacked Russia’s Belgorod region multiple times?

Trenches and horses

Fighting in Trenches with no fuel is WW1. Next we will see calvary charges with horses against tanks, jets, artillery. Ukraine doesn’t have a snowballs chance of winning the conflict. Follow the worms.

Oh how I love the smell of burnt Orcranian petrochemicals in the morning!! Yumm. Keep hitting their fuel storage and totally eliminate the petrol infrastructure. Bicycling is the way of the future. Horseback will gain some popularity in 2022 into next year.

Lack of aerian supremacy is a big issue for Russia. This refinery was hit, but this is far away to being destroyed.
