The heavy attack drone S-70 “Okhotnik” stealth heavy unmanned combat aerial vehicle struck a ground target at the Ashuluk range as part of flight tests, Russia’s state-run news agency RIA Novosti reported citing a source in the military-industrial complex.
According to the report, the Okhotnik dropped unguided aerial bombs of 500 kg caliber from the internal bay. The report did not provide details on the date when the bombing took place, but noted that these were not the first tests to destroy ground targets.
The report says that the Okhotnik is capable of autonomously hitting ground-based stationary and restrictedly mobile targets with previously known coordinates, including when receiving external target designation in the air.

This is a clear example of Russian efficiency where 15 million dollars can buy a 20 ton drone carrying a weapon load of 2-3 tons, while the Israeli Harop costing 10 million can deliver a 20 kgs warhead and its kinetic energy at point of impact.
Russia is developing a more miniatured Khinzal for its Suk 57, it is likely that Suk 70 drone might carry the same armament among other weapons.

Any country can build drones with off the shelf components made by European and American companies and put them together and claim it’s your own tech, what Russians did here is they made everything by themselves .
Turkey would dream of having a stealth drone like the SU-70 or a Lockhead RQ drone, turkey can’t even make a 4th gen fighter jet on their own without US permission .
Turkey has nothing even vaguely comparable to Okhotnik.
Yet the SU-70 can carry a whopping 6 tonne payload. Damn good bang for the rube.

A drone of that size and capability would never be close to getting to that 2 million price tag, this is a heavy strike drone that is designed as a loyal wingman and not some small, simple, cheap drones like the ones operated by turkey, they’d be lucky if the price tag was lower than 10 million without substantial orders and mass production .
About the speed sources aren’t solid, but drones of the same class that are being developed in the US are even slower than S-70.
I simply wonder why they chose this ancient design?
