The Georgian opposition does not give up trying to foment another ‘Maidan’ revolution in the country. On November 28, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze claimed that Tbilisi was abandoning negotiations on joining the European Union by the end of 2028 and refusing EU budget grants, as the authorities intend to continue fulfilling their obligations to join the EU only at the expense of their own budget.
The reason for this decision was the constant blackmail by EU representatives that was based on negotiations on the country’s accession to the EU. Tbilisi even threatens to expel the EU ambassador if he does not stop engaging in subversive activities. Earlier, the European Commission announced that it would not recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held in the country.
The opposition and pro-Western NGOs called on their supporters to come out to protests. Rallies were launched in Tbilisi, Gori, Kutaisi, Batumi and Zugdidi.
The capital became the main scene. The protesters were addressed by French citizen President Salome Zurabishvili, who declared herself the only legitimate power in the country and said that by their decision the current authorities declared war on the people.
According to all the standards of “democratic protests”, Georgian protesters have set up barricades outside the parliament building in Tbilisi. The attackers tried to build barricades and set fire to debris. They also tried to shine laser pointers into the eyes of the security forces. The situation escalated when protesters began to break into the building and attack the police officers deployed there. In response to the provocations, the police acted decisively, using water cannons, batons and gas. Special forces were also deployed for support.
As a result, at least 43 protesters were detained after the first day of protests. 32 police officers were injured. As a result, the crowd was pushed back from the parliament building and the police maintained control over the city center.
The opposition in Georgia is acting according to a well-known scenario, which has already been played out on the Ukrainian Maidan, at protests in Kazakhstan and Abkhazia. Georgian law enforcement agencies turned out to be well prepared. At this stage, a limited contingent of police officers is involved in the targeted detention of the most active rioters and the subsequent dispersal of the crowd.
Georgian blood has not been shed yet, but protests continue. According to the scenario, only a few “sacred victims” are enough to dramatically escalate the conflict, bring it to the point of no return and provoke chaos. The West has already claimed today’s riots a “struggle for freedom”, of course from Russia, and will not stop until it meets a tough rebuff from local authorities. NATO is trying its best to open a second front against Russia, and Georgians, like Ukrainians, risk to become fresh cannon fodder for the “blooming Western garden”.
once again the disillusionment, coming from the total failure of the ussr, opened the way for western lifestyle and controlled movements/ngos to hijack the mind/government of a desperate former soviet republic. how much longer will the soviet curse haunt russia and hurt innocents ? will russia fail to stop this again as they did in ukraine?
if georgia want to avoid a maïdan. expell all western ngo, expell all western spies/diplomats and jail the paid agitators. you need to do it by force before it’s growing.

the opposition is financed by the eu and proof of such activities must be made avaiable. so abduct one of the senior eu operatives and put him/her under such pressure that the details of the eu engagement and support of the opposition are made available. even if the abductee isn’t engaged directly he/she would know the paymaster! information made available would kill the nazi-princess von der lugen’s nefarious plans (which aren’t approved by the eu-citizens). rest assured!
