The Orlan-10 is a medium-range, multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by Special Technology Center LLC for the Russian Armed Forces. It is designed for a variety of missions including aerial reconnaissance, observation, search and rescue, combat training, jamming, detection of radio signals, and target tracking. The Russian military is actively employing Orlan-10 UAVs in its operation in Syria.
Nice.
Service ceiling 5000 km, that is impressive
Surely, 5,000 meters. Late night typo
Or coronavirus fever?
Especially for a piston engine.
Looks pretty decent.
drones change the nature of war—they r now widely used by Russia, China, US, Israel, Turkey, Iran, etc…they have limitations. In the bombing of Serbia by the amerikans, the Serbs created cardboard facsimiles of tanks, painted them and adorned them with metal foil…the amerikans believed that cardboard was a tank. their military vehicles were concealed in farms, etc and used only in combat….the amerikans destroyed nearly none….frustrated, they destroyed the Chinese embassy murdering 3 Chinese diplomats—amerikan “smart” bombs on display
That’s very interesting, we as well tend to not consider the economics of war and the implication of using such expensive projectiles against hoax targets. My personal opinion is if you can’t make war worth it for your economy you are ultimately depriving your population from some welfare which ultimately leads to reduction of your budget for future campaigns.
better plane models built we in the primary school :))
