The mainstream media, assisted by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) monitoring mission in eastern Ukraine, is pushing a rough propaganda about the current escalation in the region of Donbass.
According to the maisntream media, the Kiev regime and its forces became victims of big bad Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) forces, backed by Russia. These reports push an idea of violations of the ceasefire and even offensive actions by DPR forces in the industrial area of Avdeevka near Donetsk.
In turn, reports from the ground show that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and pro-Kiev paramilitary groups launched a large-scale operation against DPR forces on January 28. Furthermore, the Ukrainain Defense Ministry officially announced that the UAF were advancing.
The photo below was made by a local in Avdeevka on February 1, 2017. It shows two battle tanks of the UAF deployed to the village for an offensive operation against DPR forces near Donetsk. The photo also shows two cars of the OSCE monitoring mission near the battle tanks.
However, nobody can observe an OSCE statement about a clear violation of the ceasefire regime by the Kiev regime from the OSCE. In turn, the mainstream media continues to blame DPR forces and Russia.

I remember seeing early in the mornin’ CNN’s coverage of the escalation. They actually didn’t paint Russia or the DPR forces bad. They probably did later on though, near evening time.
They’re supposed to mediate, not pick sides. It’s not like they’re stupid enough to drive around cars that have ‘OSCE’ written in capital letters all over them in a place and age when even your local babushka has a high quality camera on her cellphone. It’s a good thing they were even there, why call it ‘ignoring’?
Have you seen their reports from the area? They do exactly that-pick sides. And guess which one they pick..

Kevin, I agree that they attempt to be neutral fact gatherers. I find it such dry reading that one would have to read through all of their reports and produce summaries. It’s too bad that they don’t produce monthly summaries, like catalog monthly totals. If they do let me know. It’s like reading a dictionary.
Russia was foolish not to go all in on Kiev after the Maidan coup. Now these neo-nazis are running the show, killing civilians indiscriminately.
Hey, the first Maidan “color revolution” was back in 2004, if locals couldn’t figure out their own problems until 2014, there is just no reason to return order by intervention – their state is done, the concept was non-viable from the beginning.

Actually, many ultranationalists in Ukraine are not pro-government and would topple it the moment threat of “russian invasion”/”creeping separatism” disappears. And they are not exactly racist, just generally xenophobic.
