Warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have carried out a new series of airstrikes on ISIS cells in Syria’s central region, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on March 19.
According to the London-based monitoring group, at least 76 Russian airstrikes hit hideouts and positions of ISIS cells in the Syrian desert.
“Russian fighter jets executed over 75 strikes on ISIS positions in the Syrian desert in 24 hours, along with the combing operations in the deserts of Hama, Homs, Raqqa to the administrative border with Aleppo province,” the SOHR said in its report. “On the other hand, regime forces and loyalists continue their combing campaign, searching for ISIS cells in al-Mayadeen desert in Deir Ezzor countryside for the second consecutive day, under air cover by helicopters.”
The recent operations by Syrian government forces and the VKS in the central region inflicted some serious losses on ISIS cells. The terrorist group’s operations are finally slowing down.
Stranded by the desert from all directions, the terrorists have very limited resources. However, they reportedly receive support from US-backed fighters based in the southeastern area of al-Tanf.
The situation in central Syria is slowly improving thanks to the efforts of government forces and the VKS. As for now, all key roads are open and safe.

Russia should open factory for production of the bombs in Syria…That would create jobs in Syria and eliminate transport expenses (from Russia). There are plenty of targets for practice ( terrorists ruining around ) So everybody would be happy (except terrorists).

They would especially when the factory is filled with Syrian workers. Russian workers certainly won’t be there as it would defeat the original purpose.
No Russian workers but… Russian factory is Russian property and (normally) with Russian management in charge. Destroying Russian property and wounding or killing Russian citizens is an act of war that can be answered accordingly.

With the West calling Russia names and insulting China openly and threatening Iran…….this only means one thing…….a stiffening of resolve on the part of the troika to counter the jihadi wahabbi Al-Qaeda mercenaries of the West. We know what’s up the road. Idlib and the NE Syria liberation this year. Possibly the eviction of the US from Iraq too.
And possible eviction or escalation in Afghanistan.
In Afghanistan, its ideal that the hillbilly stays pitted vs the wahabbi jihadi. What Iran and even Russia/ China would like is indefinite war between these two basturds. Let them kill each other. Works out great for us no? because otherwise, it will be us who have to spend blood and treasure no?…….So, the longer these terrorists fight with hillbilly, the better.
