Fierce clashes are ongoing between Syrian government forces and ISIS in the provinces of Homs and Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and other pro-government factions are now working to secure the Deir Ezzor-Palmyra highway that had been recently attacked by ISIS terrorists. The main area of clashes are now east of Sukhna.
A military situation in the villages of Bir-Ghabaghib and Shula located southwest of Deir Ezzor has been stabilized, according to pro-government sources. However, these reports lack video and photo evidences.
Army Colonel Ryan Dillon Spokesman for the US-led coalitoon has also denied reports that coalition aircraft carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah members east of Palmyra on October 2.
Strikes reported E of Palmyra #Syria killing 7 Hezbollah is NOT #CJTFOIR area of Opns. Our fight is with #ISIS; #Raqqa & E of Euphrates.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their efforts against ISIS near Hadin and Rubaydah villages northeast of Deir Ezzor city, on the eastern bank of the Euphrates.
Despite reports about clashes between the SDF and ISIS, US-backed forces made no progress near Hadin and Rubaydah as well as near the Jafra oil field.
On Tuesday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov announced that Russian airstrikes have killed 304 ISIS militants, including 7 commanders, in the Euphrates Valley over the past two days. The airstrikes also destroyed an ISIS training center for foreign members, 3 command posts, 9 strong points, 8 battle tanks, 3 artillery pieces, 17 techicals with large-caliber weapons and 4 ammunition depots.
Last week, the Russian Defense Ministry responded to a statement by UK Secretary of State for Defense Michael Fallon that the UK “has made a major contribution to the campaign that has crippled Daesh since 2014, forcing this miserable cult from the gates of Baghdad to the brink of defeat in Raqqa.”
Fallon said that the UK has made over 1,500 airstrikes against ISIS since it began its bombing campaign about three years ago. In other words, British warplanes conduct about 500 airstrikes per a year or 1.36 airstrikes per day.
“While the Syrian forces, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, were fighting to defeat the ISIS (the former name for IS – TASS) in Syria, it suddenly emerged that during all these years UK Secretary of State for Defense Michael Fallon has been helping us destroy terrorists behind our backs,” Major General Igor Konashenkov said commenting Fallon’s statement. “If Britain’s contribution to the fight against the ISIS may be called ‘inestimable,’ it is not because of the wide range of efforts, but because of their insignificance.”
God bless and God speed for the russian led coalition superheoes …. (and fake news indeed for the attack on hezbollah yesterday) – shame on the false news from zio lapdog media boards as usual – losers
Its telling that SAA is pushing on to Mayadin while ISIS continues its counterattack. The SAA and Russians look to be fully confident that they will contain and destroy these newly deployed ISIS reinforcements, and that there is no need to redeploy assault troops from SE of DeZ.
The problem is that there is confusion a lot of unreliable information and they are taking this stance as it is a safe bet so they don’t get called fake News. With one other source with reliability in the media down due to maintenance , but Al Masdar’s Facebook page is still sending information.
Did Konashenkov just bitch-slap the British?
