On April 30, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the National Defense Forces (NDF) and other pro-government factions continued their operation against ISIS in southern Damascus. The most fierce clashes took place in the northern part of the ISIS-held pocket, which had become isolated after the last weekend advance by the SAA and its allies.
At the same time, the Syrian Air Force carried out a new round of airstrikes on ISIS positions in the al-Hajar al-Aswad area and the Yarmouk refugee camp.
According to the Syrian state-run news agency SANA, an evacuation deal is now undergo in the Yarmouk refugee camp area in southnern Damascus. Under the deal, members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham surrounded in the area will be able to wirhdraw to the militant-held part of Idlib province. A SANA correspondent revealed that tens of buses had arrived in the al-Batikha Roundabout at the entrance of al-Yarmouk camp last night.
The evacuation deal in the Yarmouk is a part of the wider deal reached between the government and non-ISIS members in southern Damascus. Under this deal:
- Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies allow the evacuation of the government-held towns of Kefraya and al-Fouaa in eastern Idlib (about 5,000 people);
- Hayat Tahrir al-Sham members in the Yarmouk refugee camp area will withdraw to the province of Idlib;
- Militants in the districts of Aqraba, Beit Sahm, Yalda and Babbila will be able to withdraw towards militant-held parts of western, northern and southern Syria.
As soon as non-ISIS militants are evacuated from southern Damascus, government forces will be able to tighten the siege on the ISIS-held area and to expand efforts to defeat the remaining members of the ISIS militant group in the Yarmouk refugee camp and the nearby area.

k we wait then. Just hurry up and clean the place so you can give your attention to your borders.
The ISIS pocket in south Damascus is just 2Km wide. In which ISIS fighters cannot come out from their buildings due to sniper rifles. So what they gonna eat if all food finish. Its better for them to surrender and leave the pocket. All world communities know that these ISIS fighters are Israeli migrants.
They are cannibals. They can find something to eat.
As long they don’t start eating the civilians
You forgot they could have a well built underground passage for food re-supply, amo and even prison.. Like in S.G.
Saudi Arab jump in the war to support Israeli migrant state of Israel against Palestine. Saudi crown prince reportedly said Palestinians should take peace proposal or ‘shut up.
It was against Saudi constitution to recognise Israeli migrant state but now they have exposed their hidden faith. Peace proposal mean recognition of Israeli migrant state. LOL.
US, UK and France destroying Afghanistan by ISIS. Recently they ISIS terrorists who are actually Israeli migrants have taken to Afghanistan by helicopters from Syria and Iraq. Today ISIS have targeted Afghani Intel headquarter in Kabul. There in a twin blast 9 journalists, 4 policemen among 25 people killed and 100s wounded.
There will be many tunnels filled with food is past experience is anything to go by.
There must be some civilians there as well I suppose. Slaves for ISIS and a reason for UN aid supplies.
There must be many tens of thousands of fighters getting sent to idlib recently. It must be chaotic in there by now. Who welcomes them when they get there?
John McCain and Hillary!
Back to EU, KSA, Turkey atd
Troll scum like velociraptor, jim crowland, smaug or mountains, wont show their faces when article like this are posted, because racist, zionist and wahhabis hate the fact that Syria is still standing. I guess they rather take comfort in articles that that are about another terror attack from Israel like the one that recently happened Hama. Those articles give them a delusional comfort to the fact that the Syrian government is winning no matter how many pathetic airstrikes or terrorist attacks these psychopath throw at them.
There wasn’t an air strike, small diameter bombs were fired from the ground, in Syria. Check it again.
Good, but one thing always bothers me about the SAA. Even during successful campaigns they still seem to take fairly high casualties (in eastern Ghouta they apparently lost more than the militants). Looking at these videos, most of the soldiers don’t even have kevlar vests. Couldn’t Russia supply them with some surplus stock?
In Ghouta the russian SpetsNaz was heavily involved, that was the reason for the the quick victory. According to the chinese Military Intel 15,000 terrorist got killed in Ghuta including hundreds of US SpecOps , private troops (Bkackwater) and another 200 SAS (UK) were taken as POW and handed over to Assad.Also a dozen of chemical officers ( from USA, UK, Israel, Saudi) got captured and interogated.
Well I don’t know where you heard that from, but that sounds completely fabricated to say the least. Especially the part about 200 SAS POWs.
Syria needs to equip it’s soldiers better.
