Overview Of Battle For Eastern Ghouta On March 23, 2018 (Map, Videos)

On March 23, the implementation of an evacuation deal between Ahrar al-Sham and the Syrian government in the Damascus subrub of Eastern Ghouta entered its second day.

Under the deal 1,500 Ahrar al-Sham members and about 6,000 civilians (mostly the militants’ families) are set to leave the area of Harasta. On March 22, 810 people, including 253 men, 157 women, 218 children and 182 militants left the area. On March 23, more militants and their relatives will be evacuated.

Two videos below show the evacuation of militants and civilians from Harasta on March 22:

Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies continued securing the recently liberated areas, the Ayn Tarma farms and others, in the southern part of Eastern Ghouta.

On March 22, reports appeared that Faylaq al-Rahman and the Syrian government had reached a ceasefire agreement in the southwestern part of Eastern Ghouta. The agreement was set to be started on March 23. Considering a lack of advances by the SAA in the area, it appears that the agreement has been implemented.

The next logical step is evacuation of militants from this part of the region to Idlib.

Governemnt forces are in the Ayn Tarma farms area:

The SAA destorys an underground tunnel of Faylaq al-Rahman in the Ayn Tarma area:

According to the Russian military, about 95,000 people have left the militant-held area of Eastern Ghouta since the implementation of the daily humanitarian pause on February 28.

The expected liberation of Eastern Ghouta will become another important victory for the SAA and its allies. Then, ISIS units operating in southern Damascus may become the next target of the SAA.

You forgot to add that Douma will reconcile with Assad! If all other news are true, the liberation of Eastern Ghouta will be a matter of few days!

Why “with Assad”? Rebels have reconciled themselves with government forces. Bashar al Assad certainly did not personally come to reconcile with them. If the government suits you then there are government forces, and if the government does not suits you, then you have at your disposal a whole lot of distorted and at the same time inaccurate terms for government forces.

President Assad is a hard working, well educated talented person. He wants that his country is prosper and developed but Washington, UK and France want a puppet government on Syria to facilitate them to bring own brutality to massacre the nations of Palestine and Middle East. Remember all evil and brutal forces will be losers at the end.

I agree 100%

First SAA and allies from Hammuraya side should liberate Irbin and then come down to Hazza and Ayn Tirma and should avoid rivers and canals.
