On November 6, the Syrian Air Force continued to deliver air strikes on militant ragets in the areas of Menyan, al-Assad, 1070 Apartment Project, Mansoura and Rashidin. Sources that support the Jabhat al-Nusra-led coalition known as Jaish al-Fatah also reported some air strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces. However, they failed to provide any photo or video confirmation of the reports.

In total, about 25 air strikes have been delivered in western Aleppo since November 6 morning, destroying at least 1 military vehicle, 2 technicals equipped with machine guns and 10 fighters of the militant group.

No significant offensive operations were observed in the area of Aleppo city with both sides targeting each other with anti-tank guided missiles, artillery, mortars and battle tanks. Jaish al-Fatah delivered a significant attention to Hezbollah positions in the area of Uhud Hill in southern Aleppo. In turn, the Syrian army and its allies made a series of attacks on Jaish al-Fatah units deplyoed in the al-Assad Neighborhood.

According to experts and local sides both sides are regropuing for further offensive operations in the western part of Aleppo city. There were also reports that the government forces could conduct some offensive operations inside eastern Aleppo. Nonetheless, this looks harldy possible before the army and its allies repel the militant threat from the western direction.

Some pro-government media outlets also disseminate reports that the Syrian military ordered the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces and its commander Maj Gen Suheil Al Hassan to advance on the ISIS-controlled town of Al-Ban in the province of Aleppo. These reports are false.

A summary of the operation to liberate the ancient city of Palmyra from ISIS:

On November 5, the Syrian army set a full-control of of the strategic Aleppo Infantry School and its nearby area, including few vilalges. The development became possible due to the deal with Kurdish forces  that operate in the northern part of Aleppo province. This was another evidence of cooperation between the Syrian government and the Kurdish leadership on the battleground. Damascus sees the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG; the Syrian Democratic Forces are another brand for the same thing) presence in Aleppo countryside as

This is what happen when you have the momentum and you call for a useless truce.

Drinas

Amen to that..

This is what happens when your most powerful ally does not possess 100% souvereignity.

wait, 25 airstrikes over 2 days resaulted in destruction of 1 vehicle, 2 technicals and 10 fighters?? I don’t know the finer details, but that sounds like a huge waste of money for all the bombs, jet fuel, and service. a good ATGM team or artillery battery could do the same with fraction of a cost.

ClausRasmussen

Yeah, if that’s the only result then it’s hardly worth it, but on the other hand: Just the presence of Russian jets whizzing around above your head makes you think twice before exposing yourself by moving around. Keeping the enemy locked in position is exactly what you want when you change the focus of the battle: From New Aleppo & 3000 to the hills south of 1070

Does anyone else notice the guy using that ATGM is fat as fuck to be a militant?
