The day of reckoning is coming: the Ukrainian Army prepares for a decisive battle for Pokrovsk and plans a final counteroffensive
In the Kursk direction, despite the fall of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF)’ defenses in Plekhovo and the reduction of logistical capabilities, the Ukrainian command is throwing expensive German and British tanks into the battle and wasting manpower in a maneuver defense with no regard for losses.
Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces (RAF) advanced east of Novoivanovka and in the south of Suja area. In combat, up to 100 Ukrainian army personnel were eliminated. Nevertheless, despite the general deplorable state of the UAF, they still have reserves for the final counteroffensive.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian troops have managed to achieve significant gains in recent days. Fighting is still going on at the Uspenovka-Konstantinopolskoye line.

In Kurakhove itself, Russian units thwarted a UAF counterattack by mine laying.
After clearing the Roivka grain elevator near the southern bank of the Kurakhove reservoir, the RAF soon managed to achieve significant progress. This indicates that the concentration of Ukrainian units remaining in the city is minimal, which allows the fighters to place mine barriers virtually in the “gray zone” right on the adversary’s doorstep.
At the same time, in the center of the city, Russian storm troopers hoisted a flag on the building of the Kurakhove city administration on Mira Avenue. Judging by the fact that they are moving around rather safely, the local area has been cleared of Ukrainian troops.
On Pushkin Street near School No. 2, and in the western part of Sobornyy Avenue, fighting is still ongoing. Nevertheless, one of the few serious defense nodes of the UAF in the city remains the industrial zone and the Kurakhove Power Station on the western outskirts.
Footage of Russian flags being hoisted in the central and western parts of Yelizavetivka has been published. Although the town was already taken some time ago, the video once again confirms the Russian army’s stable control over the town and the surrounding area.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops defeated armed groups of the UAF motorized infantry brigade, the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Brigade and the border detachment of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service in the areas of Liptsy, Volchansk, Prylipka and Zolochev. Ukrainian assault groups attempted a counterattack, as a result of which the they lost over 70 servicemen, two vehicles and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer. One ammunition depot was also destroyed.
In the Konstantinopolskoye direction, fighting is still going on: Ukrainian units are not giving up attempts to enter the village, while Russian field engineers are placing mine barriers, setting traps for the Ukrainian armor and vehicles.

In the Kupiansk direction, the RAF are trying to expand their bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River, while fighting is currently going on in Chasov Yar near the refractory materials factory (the main “stronghold” of the UAF). On the Zaporizhzhia front, contact detachments of the Russian army are conducting offensive actions, but the main forces have not yet engaged in the battle. The Ukrainian side is still expecting an attack on Kherson across the Dnieper River, seeking to uncover the Russian command’s plans in full.
In the Pokrovsk direction, fierce fighting continues a couple of kilometers south of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Russian troops have become active in several areas simultaneously, getting closer and closer to the Pokrovsk agglomeration. As Foreign Policy magazine previously wrote, the fall of Pokrovsk could have a direct impact on Ukraine’s ability to continue the war.
The UAF reserves are being transferred to Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), probably the 3rd separate assault brigade, an elite military unit whose backbone is made up of Azov terrorists.
At the same time, one of the largest coking coal mines of the Ukrainian steel holding Metinvest has been shut down in neighboring Peschanoye. Although the company has built up stocks of raw materials in advance and removed personnel, in the long term the loss of coke production may have a significant impact on the Ukrainian defense industry.
Meanwhile, east of Novogrodovka, Russian troops advanced along the forest belt near Mykolayivka towards Mirnograd.
A curios event was the mass desertion (more than 1,000 people) of soldiers of the UAF French-trained 155th Mechanized Brigade “Anna of Kyiv”, which was holding the front near Pokrovsk. Those mobilized without proper training were simply dressed in uniforms and declared to be a full-fledged brigade. Even a competent commander was put in command of the unit, but he was not given time to create a cohesive team.
On the contrary, the UAF servicemen who defected to Russia are performing well in combat, destroying Ukrainian tanks and SP guns during the offensive on Pokrovsk.

On the political front, America’s European satellites are already preparing the population for increased military expenditures by deploying military production to the detriment of living standards in the EU. On the other hand, Ukraine’s western neighbors remain interested in the end of hostilities and would love to benefit from the partition of the moribund country, even with the formal maintaining of its western borders.
The possible proximity of peace talks just encourages Kiev to step up efforts on the battlefront, and all sorts of military adventures.
In anticipation of Volodymyr Zelensky’s expected negotiation process after Donald Trump’s arrival in the White House (January 20), the UAF are stepping up efforts to hold positions in the Kursk Region, launching long-range U.S. weapons strikes on Russian territory and creating new attack forces.
The ATACMS strike on the Russian city of Taganrog triggered a retaliatory massive raid on Ukrainian energy and military facilities, but clearly did not make the Kiev authorities change their behavior. At the same time, even Donald Trump recognizes the impasse of using not-so-abundant U.S. missiles on Russian territory.
Now the main question remains the direction of the Ukrainian Army’s last blow, which will create at least the appearance of a “strong position” in case negotiations begin. If Crimea, Bryansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are to become such a target, it will be only as a diversionary strike. More and more people are talking about a possible attempt by the UAF to repeat the “Kursk adventure” in the Belgorod direction with a northward movement across the border into the Russian rear.
us special forces were spotted in the city of kobani in northern syria earlier today
us forces have occupied a former russian military base following the withdrawal of russian units.
russia is totally humiliated again!!!
heheheh
why do you think that your stupid posts change reality? you need to look for profesional help..we can not help you here. being pro nato is being scum, being happy for the destruction of siria is being a sick animal.
by the looks of things it was all planned by russia and assad, assad’s family all moved to russia a month ago with assad following as the riff raff moved in, maybe russia decided not to throw good money after bad in syria’s defence, i doubt theres a single russian feeling humiliated considering they’re trumping these cretins in ukraine even with 30 nato states chucking cash their way.
🫵🤡 😆😆😆
nothing brilliant about any of it. although it is good to see the russians forced to stop wasting resources on lost third world causes.
homo amerikunt humiliated—russia keeps bases–no longer funds syrian govt—dumb burgers will—🤣
counter-offensive for the nazis was never good, what happened in syria will happen to ukraine. zelensky will ask for help to flee to the united states 🤣
think about this, ukr has invaded russian territory and is attacking russia with missiles and drones destroying buildings and causinv death of russians on russia territory. so russia can do the only right thing which is defending themselves. that is the answer to zellie boy and nato.
hopefully moscow will respond to the threat of the ukrop offensive before it happens.
that would be a real improvement and welcome change.
we amerikunts humiliated russia wins —we r gullible monkeys send 300 billion bananas to zelensky
originally intended to be zoo animal zoo owner rejected us cause too ugly stupid–so now we invasive ratlike species
of course afu is sending mbt to kursk, nato is emptying stockpiles before negotiations begin. it is all about the 💵💰
i fatti la russia è occupata, non avete preso kiev e odessa supermissili li cerca l’orso, parlate di vittorie svegliatevi dal sogno la realtà è molto diversa .
