The Ukraine-NATO Council has considered possible scenarios for Ukraine’s admission to the alliance or, in other words, its partition. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken advised Kiev to make a difficult decision on further mobilization. Zelensky’s Office adviser Andriy Yermak flew to Washington to receive instructions on wrapping up the conflict.
Situation in the sky
In Russia, over the past 24 hours alone, air defense forces shot down two US-made HIMARS rockets and 101 fixed-wing UAVs.
In Ukraine during the same period, Russian armed forces struck Shostka in the Sumy Region, Myrhorod in the Poltava Region, Krasnohrad in the Kharkiv Region, Pokrov in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, a number of populated areas in the Cherkasy Region, Zhytomyr and the Odessa Region. UAVs “Geranium” and FAB high explosive aerial bombs with UMPK guidance kit were used. There were also reports of explosions in Kiev.
Situation on the fronts
In the Kursk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are engaged in fierce fighting in the north of the Sudzha region. Assault groups of Russian troops have advanced into the forests near Malaya Loknya and are carrying out a cleaning operation.

No changes in the line of contact have been reported in this area. The Ukrainian army is actively moving reserves from the Sumy Region, throwing personnel into combat with the support of western armored vehicles (a Leopard tank and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed).

In the Kharkiv direction, no significant changes were observed. The situation there is being characterized by local hostilities.

In the Kupyansk direction, an expansion of the zone of control of Russian units in the area of Zelenyi Gai up to 4 kilometers, as well as in the areas of Kopanok and on the northeastern approaches to Kupyansk and Lozovaya has been recorded.

In the Krasnolimansk direction, there is heavy fighting near Ternov. In Torskoye, Yampolovka and Grekovka the Russian artillery is intensively hitting the enemy’s fortifications, weakening its defensive capabilities.
In the Seversk direction, positional battles and localized clashes also continue. No significant changes have been recorded, but Ukrainian army facilities are regularly hit.
In the Konstantinovka direction, active counter-fighting is taking place in Toretsk. Russian units are entrenched on the heights and continue the assault on the Tsentralnaya (Central) mine. In the Chasov Yar section, Russian troops are storming the refractory plant, and a small-scale advance has been recorded south of the Novy neighborhood.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the area of Pushkino, there are active assaults on the defensive positions of the Ukrainian troops. Russian units are advancing west of Pustynka, which allows them to bypass the northern positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in Pushkino. They are approaching Shevchenko from both flanks, and there are reports of entering the section of the Pokrovsk-Kurakhovo highway, as well as the outskirts of Novaya Pustynka. The Russian artillery is targeting the Ukrainian positions in the areas of Dachenskoye and Lysovka.
The Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Zhyoltoye and are advancing towards the village of Dachenskoye. South of Shevchenko settlement they continue attacks along the railroad. It is reported that UKRPOSHTA (Ukrainian Postal Service) is being evacuated from Pokrovsk and will stop working next week.

In the Kurakhove direction, Russian troops are consolidating their positions on new borders, and fighting continues in the urban area of Kurakhove, moving westward. Russian Armed Forces units are squeezing the enemy’s defense in Konstantinopolskoye, actively storming the Ukrainian positions on the southern flank. Ukrainian troops are unable to stabilize the Bogatyr-Razlyv-Sukhiye Yaly-Usenovka line, as the Russian units are entrenched in the areas of Sukhiye Yaly and Konstantinopolskoye.
Russian forces have had some successes near Romanovka. The situation for the Ukrainian army in a few villages is actually an operational encirclement, the withdrawal of units is unlikely, especially since the AFU command forbids them to leave their positions, despite the obvious senselessness of resistance.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, on the eastern outskirts of Velyka Novosilka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces extended their zone of control to 1,000 meters. In the north of Novodarevka the advance of Russian troops was recorded. Intensive assault operations continue in the Novy Komar area, where the main efforts of the AFU to hold the northern flank of Velyka Novosilka are concentrated. There are reports of Blagodatnoye being taken under Russian control. On the Orekhovskyi section there is fighting north of Rabotino, as well as in the southwest and southeast. A Russian flag has been planted in the village of Blagodatnoye.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops keep striking at the rear facilities of the Ukrainian armed forces, destabilizing their defensive installations. No significant changes have been seen in this direction, but there is high activity of Ukrainian FPV drones.
On the diplomatic front, Western powers intensified multilateral negotiations in an attempt to put a brave face on a sorry business happening with their adventure in Ukraine.
NATO began discussing scenarios for ending the war in Ukraine and determining the further status of its territory. According to the “German model,” only the western regions of the country could be admitted to NATO, while Kiev and the Kiev region are not included in this plan. The “Finnish” scenario, in which Ukraine gives up part of its territory and declares neutrality, and the “Israeli” scenario, in which the country becomes an ally of the United States without joining the alliance, are also possible for Ukraine.
Kiev has sent Andriy Yermak, who runs Volodymyr Zelensky’s wartime presidential office, to meet with the team of new US President Donald Trump, in particular with Keith Kellogg, who is expected to be appointed special envoy for Ukraine.
It should be recalled that his conflict resolution plan, according to which Ukraine’s accession to NATO is postponed for at least 10 years, was published earlier. In addition, Andriy Yermak may reveal to the Trump team the corruption schemes of the Biden family in exchange for support of the Republican president. Along with Zelensky’s chief of staff, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Finance Minister Oleg Sviridenko, also headed to Washington, which indicates the importance of the economic agenda for the negotiations.
Finally, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the issue of mobilization in Ukraine critical and urged Kiev to make “difficult but necessary decisions”. The question is about lowering the age for mobilization in this country from 25 to 18 years.
