Amid the ongoing heavy battles on the frontlines, Russian and Ukrainian forces are exchanging strikes in rear regions. Dozens of Russian drones and missiles are pounding Ukrainian rear infrastructure with daily waves of strikes, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempt sporadic massive drones strikes in Russian border regions which lead to only limited damage.
On the night of October 20th, the Ukrainian military attempted one of the most massive attacks on the Russian territory. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 110 Ukrainian UAVs over seven Russian regions. Most of the drones targeted the rear areas in the war-torn Kursk region, where Russian forces are repelling the Ukrainian groups from the Russian territory, grinding reserves of the Ukrainian army.
In total, Russian air defense destroyed:
- 43 Ukrainian UAVs in the Kursk region;
- 27 UAVs in the Lipetsk region;
- 18 UAVs in the Oryol region;
- 8 UAVs in the Nizhny Novgorod region;
- 7 UAVs in the border Belgorod region;
- 6 UAVs in the border Bryansk region;
- 1 UAV was destroyed in the Moscow region.
According to available information, the massive attack was successfully repelled by Russian air defense forces and it resulted in no significant damage. The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported that several Ukrainian drones targeted the industrial area in the city of Dzerzhinsk. The drones were destroyed but as a result of the strikes, four employees of the fire department located on the territory of the industrial enterprise received minor shrapnel wounds.
Prohibited to launch NATO missiles on the Russian territory, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempt to inflict at least some damage to Russian rear infrastructure with massive drone attacks. The air defense forces of the Russian army are easily dealing with Ukrainian UAVs and destroy almost all the launched drones. Meanwhile, Kiev’s Western patrons rate the attacks by Ukrainian drones as quite effective. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that Ukraine is “good” at delivering “effective” drone strikes against Russia, so they will continue. According to him, “cheap” drones are better than “expensive” Western missiles.
On the other hand, the Russian military does not spare drones and missiles for devastating strikes throughout Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense rarely releases official comments on the constant strikes on the enemy rare infrastructure. Today, the Russian military officially confirmed the destruction with precision strikes of the points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries, UAV production workshops, places of their training and launch in the border Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
On the night of October 20th, sirens sounded in almost all regions of Ukraine. Since the evening, groups of Russian drones have been circling over the territory of the country, exposing the positions of the Ukrainian air defense.
Russian drone strikes wer recorded in the town of Pokrov (also known as Ordzhonikidze) in the Dnepropetrovsk region. According to preliminary reports, an ammunition depot was destroyed on the outskirts of the city. The Ukrainian military reportedly also suffered damage in manpower.
At least one strike was recorded in the city of Zaporozhie. A large fire broke out at a military facility in the city.
Russian strikes reportedly destroyed the P-18 radar station in the Kherson region.

One of the targets of Russian missile strikes was another hotel used for accommodation of the Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries. At night, Russian Iskander missiles destroyed the Druzhba hotel in the city of Krivy Rih. The hotel was turned into a base for foreign specialists involved in ensuring the operation of electronic warfare systems at the facilities of the Ukrainian defense infrastructure. in particular, the eliminated foreign military specialists were reportedly working on the modernization of the AN/MLQ-40 “Prophet” electronic jamming system.
Another point of temporary deployment of Ukrainian soldiers was reportedly destroyed on the outskirts of the town of Zhmerinka in the Vinnitsa region.
A series of strikes were reported in the western Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Explosions thundered in the capital Kiev.
The effectiveness of Russian devastating strikes throughout Ukraine remains very high and continues to grow. The Ukrainian air defense is unable to protect even strategically important facilities, despite the continued supply of air defense systems from NATO and the work of foreign military specialists in the war-torn country.
ukraine needs elections so that the people can decide if they want to further destroy their people and country with zelensky or cave in to the simple demands of russia.

prohibited to launch nato missiles on the russian territory, the armed forces of ukraine…. be careful what you wish for, because it’s not a matter of if, but when. and what the targets will be. ukraine/nato can easily double russia’s losses in this war overnight, and they will certainly do so when the russians don’t expect it, if not before the us election, then soon after, and if not soon after, then by christmas… and so on.
