UPDATED: Overview Of Russian Missile Strikes Throughout Ukraine On January 14, 2023

Damage to a power plant

UPDATE:

Adviser to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, Alexey Arestovich, said that a missile fell on a residential building in Dnepropetrovsk because of the work of the Ukrainian air defense systems. According to Arestovich, the Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a missile that fell on the residential building and exploded.

According to the local reports with reference to local authorities, five people were killed in the incident, 60 others were wounded, including 12 children. It is also reported that 15 people were rescued from the rubble and the rescue operation continues.

On January 14, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched the first massive attack on military and energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine in 2023.

According to the Ukrainian national electricity transmission system operator Ukrenergo, the 12th massive missile attack resulted in the damage to the following energy infrastructure facilities. The target of the attack were generation facilities and high-voltage infrastructure facilities in 5 regions: Kiev, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Kharkiv. As a result, emergency shutdowns have been applied in a number of regions in order to reduce the effects of impacts.

In his turn, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Glushchenko, confirmed hits on energy infrastructure facilities in 6 regions of Ukraine: Kharkiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporozhye, Vinnytsia and Kiev regions.

In its turn, the Ukrainian military attempted to count the intercepted targets. However, the claims of the Ukrainian military commanders rarely correspond to reality.

According to Mr Zaluzhny, Russia has made about 28 launches of cruise missiles of various bases and 5 launches of guided aircraft missiles. 18 cruise missiles and 3 guided aircraft missiles were reportedly destroyed.

The first strikes of Russian missiles took place in Kiev and other cities of central and northern Ukrainian regions at about 10 am local time. The damage to an energy facility was confirmed in the capital. According to local reports, the Kiev CHPP-3 and CHPP-5, as well as an industrial enterprise in the Goloseevsky district, could be the targets.

The air alert in these regions was announced after the missiles hit their targets. According to the press officer of the AFU Air Force, Yuri Ignat, Russian forces first used ballistic missiles for the attack.

The second wave of Kalibr missile strikes was recorded in several hours in Kiev and the Kiev region, Krivoy Rog, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Nikolaev, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Lviv regions. An air alert has been declared in all Ukrainian regions. According to Ukrainian sources, the number of missiles significantly exceeded that claimed by the military officials.

So far, it was confirmed that two thermal power plants were damaged. They are reportedly located in the Kiev and Dnerpopetrovsk regions.

A total of four missiles hit an energy infrastructure facility and an industrial enterprise in the Kharkov region. Two explosions thundered in the area of the Losevo station, where the Kharkov Tractor Plant is located.

The local administration confirmed damage to an industrial entreprise in the Zaporozhie region. Later, damage to an energy infrastructure facility was confirmed by Ukrainian authorities in Lviv.

Explosions were reported in the residential areas in Kotovsky, as well as near the villages of Dachnoye and Usatovo in the Odessa region.

As during the previous recent massive strikes, Russian forces used false air targets in order to identify the positions of the Ukrainian air defense systems. This allowed to neutralize the Ukrainian air defense means until the moment of the approach of cruise missiles.

All of the most recent missile attacks were accompanied by horrific ‘incidents’. Damage was inflicted to civilian buildings and Ukrainian air defense missiles hit territories of the neighbouring states. Unfortunately, today’s attack was not an exclusion.

Fragments of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles fell on the territory of Moldova:

Despite the fact that all Russian strikes are inflicted with high accuracy and allow to avoid casualties among the civilians, Russian forces are often blamed by the Kiev regime for strikes on residential buildings in different cities. Such accusations are never provided by any proofs. Usually, the Ukrainian military attempts to hide the truth that in fact Ukrainian civilians are killed by the obsolete Ukrainian air defence missiles.

On January 14, a part of a multistorey building was destroyed in the city of Dnepropetrovsk (Dnipro). Despite the loud claims of the Kiev officials who immediately blamed the Russian military, the reason of the incident is yet to be identified. Ukrainian media are yet to show the wreckage of the missile. It could be either an intercepted Russian cruise missile or a consequence of the work of the Ukrainian air defense.

Judging by the scale of the destruction, it may be supposed that there was a secondary explosion in the building because neither Ukrainian air defense nor intercepted Russian missiles could cause such damage. Russian cruise missiles fly at extremely low altitude and Ukrainian anti-missile launches carried out from urban areas turn residential buildings into potential targets.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Ukrainian missiles hit Ukrainian houses. These incidents could be the results of any malfunction on the side of the Ukrainian military. At the same time, footage showing the destructions in Ukraine are very beneficial to the Kiev regime. This tragedy will give Zelensky the right to demand more air defense systems and advanced weapons from the West.

In his briefing on January 14, the terrible tragedy, promoted in the media, amid accusation of Russia led to Zelensky’s conclusion that more weapons are needed to prevent this from happening in the future. For the sake of new weapons, Kiev does not regret anything, neither its own nor anyone else’s people.

“What is needed to stop this? The weapons that our partners have in their warehouses and that our soldiers are so looking forward to. The whole world knows what and how can stop those who sow death. And I thank everyone who helps us in this!”, Zelensky  emphasized.

Such a tragedy will attract more attention of the Western population as well as of the Ukrainians. The footage from Dnepropetrovsk shared by the media helped to shift the focus of their attention from the Ukrainian defeat in Soledar.

I feel for the innocent civilians. I wouldn’t wanna be in their shoes right now. Dnepropetrovsk is going to become a Russian town again soon. I hope they’ll be able to mend the wounds then.

Zelensky doesn’t seem to give two shits about them.

The stupid idea was to have a Jewish stooge of the Ziomafia parasites as president. Once that happens the rest follows.

Čo sa týka Banderovsko-fašistickej Ukrajiny, tak sa zdá, že tam mali zase poriadne veselo. A to Rusku došli rakety ešte v marci minulého roku.

Why no Kalibr missiles at airstrips at Kramatorsk, Slavyansk or Poltava? Why no Kalibr missiles on Dniepr river crossings ????

The behavior of Kiev is 100% colonial puppet regime. The most sensible offer to end the war was back in April in Istanbul. The two faced British and Americans snakes torpedoed the talks. Now they will reap what they sow.
